Overall
I enjoyed New Girls 4 a lot but I won't pretend it's totally successful.
Firstly, the cast is intriguing but not totally captivating. After that,
I guess it's in the nature of the loose, unscripted feel of Joey Silvera's
movies that it may well be the case that sometimes things don't quite
work out and sometimes they do. Sometimes people really click, like Cindi
and Brett, and sometimes they try but never make it, like Shawnie and
Mark. In between these points there is some enjoyable, sexy viewing to
be had without ever reaching serious peaks of excitement. On that note,
the trend, if it is indeed a trend, for trying to give the girls "real"
orgasms is something I welcome, but as always I approach this with some
cynicism as the orgasms are often flagged up well in advance. This is
why "appears to get off", or words to that effect, forms a commonly used
phrase. Other than that, it's all shot in that fairly free fashion and
edited in what I can only imagine is a knowingly clunky style.
DVD Comments
Apart from the aforementioned bonus scene, which really adds to the disc,
there's a good ten minutes of extra footage with some interesting little
snippets from the other scenes. Add to this a photo gallery, cast list,
website addresses and the patented Evil Angel fetish menus, and we find
we have a very tidy product. My only concern is on the picture quality,
which is generally good, bright, sharp and clear but suffers from occasional
minor blips.
