Initial Expectations: I haven’t watched anything from B&D Pleasures yet, so I’m curious about this one.

Initial Reaction: It’s the best put together bondage DVD I’ve seen so far.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are done extremely well for a fetish feature. The audio is clear and very well balanced, and I don’t think I noticed a single background noise. The video is also very well done. There’s only a hint of grain to the video, and it’s nicely lit. The only problem during the video is during the second scene when one of the cameras gives a foggy look. In the commentary it’s explained that the room was very humid and that one of the camera lenses actually fogged up during the shooting of the scene.

Music: The music varies a bit in style throughout the movie, but is always very nicely balanced with the rest of the audio. It often has a soft feel, and unlike most bondage features, it works here.

Menus: The menus are fairly simple. The main menu works in a few clips from the movie, and although it gives a decent impression it goes on way too long. The chapter menu is very standard and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature

There are times when a plot is nice with porn and times when it’s annoying. Jewell Marceau’s Bondage Dolls knows just how to balance it. The action here revolves around Krissy bringing Scarlett Wound over as a gift for her Mistress, Jewell Marceau. That’s about as deep as it gets, and it works very well for setting up all the scenes.

Scene 1 - Krissy and Scarlett Wound

Scarlett starts things out bent over Krissy’s knees for a spanking. Krissy also gives Scarlett a spanking and flogging as Scarlett gets on all fours in front of her. They keep things going nicely until Mistress Jewell arrives none too happy that they got impatient and started by themselves.

This is a nicely done opening. It moves along nicely, and also keeps a very enjoyable feel. Both Krissy and Scarlett look like they’re just where they want to be and that they’re comfortable and having a great time. This works great for opening up the movie.

Scene 2 - Jewell Marceau, Krissy, and Scarlett Wound

Mistress Jewell decides to teach Krissy a lesson in the next scene. She makes Scarlett watch as she spanks and flogs Krissy before making her get up on the couch with Krissy. Scarlett moves down to lay on the floor in front of Krissy as Krissy holds her legs and lets Jewell flog her and slap her with her crop. She works between the girls with her flogger and her crop before the scene finally fades out feeling like the girls might have had enough.

This is a very nicely done scene. Mistress Jewell does a great job of working back and forth between the girls so that one of them doesn’t feel like they’re a third wheel. Krissy and Scarlett also do a great job, mostly because you can tell that they’re really into what Jewell’s doing to them. This is another excellent scene, and it continues from the first scene seamlessly.

Scene 3 - Krissy and Scarlett Wound

Krissy and Scarlett start out the next scene muzzled, cuffed, and hung on opposite sides of a door. The girls struggle against their bonds and are only able to know each other is on the other side due to pounding on the door. They try to get out of their bonds, and Scarlett almost succeeds, but never make it.

I’m not sure why, but I really kind of liked this scene. It’s very different, and the camera does a great job of capturing each girl’s body. Of special note here is Scarlett’s ass, which I’m sure is going to start nearly ever red blooded American boy’s blood pumping!

Scene 4 - Jewell Marceau and Krissy

Mistress Jewell puts a mask and muzzle on Krissy before having her turn around. She has Krissy bend over and gives her sweet ass a spanking and flogging. Mistress Jewell moves up to heavier equipment as Krissy’s back and ass turn beet red (or is that beat red?). Finally, Mistress Jewell caresses her back lovingly.

This is an amazing scene! Jewell keeps upping the ante throughout the scene, and Krissy just gets into it more and more. Although I came close to wincing with a couple of the blows Jewell brought down on Krissy, it never seemed like enough for her. I was amazed at Krissy, and even though I wasn’t always comfortable, I couldn’t help but be extremely turned on by how into it Krissy was.

Scene 5 - Jewell Marceau, Scarlett Wound, and Krissy

Mistress Jewell starts out the final scene gagging both Krissy and Scarlett. She leaves Krissy tied up on the floor and makes her watch as she spanks Scarlett. Being a caring dom, Jewell gives Krissy a few clothes pins around her breasts as well as a little attention from her flogger. Mistress Jewell even tortures Scarlett’s feet with a little tickling from the flogger handle as she works her way between the girls. Mistress Jewell breaks out her strap as well, and when her crop can’t knock off the clothes pins on Krissy’s breasts she removes them with her mouth. Mistress Jewell moves back to Scarlett and removes her gag so that she can properly worship her boots while she whips Krissy’s breasts. Finally Mistress Jewell decides to keep both of her new subs.

This is a great scene to end things with. As usual Jewell balances herself very well between the girls and both of the girls are completely into the action. The colors really stand out in this scene and everything about it seemed to work right. This is an excellent scene!

Jewell Marceau’s Bondage Dolls is an amazing bondage feature. Jewell does a great job as the dom, but it’s Krissy and Scarlett as the subs which make the movie work. In many of the bondage features I’ve seen you can’t tell if the people are really into bondage or not. That’s anything but the case here. Both girls take one heck of a beating, especially Krissy, and they always seem to be into it. Krissy seems to get into it more the harder she’s flogged or spanked, and although her look didn’t do much for me she impressed me in every one of her scenes. Jewell Marceau’s Bondage Dolls grabbed my attention almost immediately and never let it go. This is a bondage feature that should be checked out by anybody who’s into bondage or even anybody who’s just curious about it.

The Extra Stuff

B&D Pleasures really went the extra mile on extras here, and go way beyond what almost all of the major mainstream adult studios put together. The photo gallery includes nearly thirty very nice looking snapshots and full screen photos. A behind the scenes featurette, interviews, and a commentary are also included, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen for a feature such as this. There are also eight trailers, three bonus clips (all of which include Jewell Marceau), and weblinks.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts roughly ten minutes. You get a little prep for the scenes, a little bit of one of the scenes being shot, and a little bit of screwing around on the set. It’s a nicely done behind the scenes featurette even if it is a little short, and it’s worth checking out.

The interviews last roughly fifteen minutes. Jewell talks about her favorite parts of bondage and how she got into the business. Krissy also talks about getting into the business and what she likes sexually, namely rough bondage. Director Bip talks about the movie, the psychology of directing, what people need to understand to direct bondage movies, and his favorite scene. Finally, Scarlett Wound talks about her socks, her role in the movie, and how she got into bondage and bondage movies. Most of the interviews are only a few minutes long, but they work good enough to give a little feel for each of the performers.

Mystery Man, Jewell Marceau, and another guy who’s name doesn’t come across well (but who I think might be Bip) team up to give a commentary. They talk about most everything which comes to mind. There’s talk about what happened on the set and other sets with the performers, bondage, panties, and even style issues such as ‘polka-dots: yay or nay’. It’s a fun and very nicely done commentary that really surprised me. I never really thought a commentary would be that good for a bondage feature, but I was definitely proven wrong here.

Bonus Scene 1 - Francesca Le and Jewell Marceau

The first bonus scene comes from Latex Love. Jewell starts things out tied to a table calling out for Francesca, who’s left her alone knowing that Jewell doesn’t like to be left alone. Due to the amount of noise that Jewell makes, Francesca gags her before breaking out her crop and flogger. She works Jewell over with three floggers, as well as her crop, before letting Jewell loose. Francesca gets her solitary treatment returned to her as she’s tied up in a black latex dress and hung against a wall.

This is a very nice sequence. It has an enjoyable feeling and never feels malicious. Jewell and Francesca play off each other extremely well, and there’s some nice feeling put into the scene. This is a nicely done sequence.

Bonus Scene 2 - Jewell Marceau and Devin DeMoore

The second bonus scene comes from Binding Lease. Jewell gives Devin a little lesson about keeping her apartment clean. She whips Devin’s inner thigh and pussy with her little pussy whip before running her nails across Devin’s body to leave red streaks across it. She does give Devin a little fondling to let her know that if she behaves she can be rewarded, but also flogs her back and whips and spanks her ass so that Devin doesn’t think she’s going soft. She mixes Devin’s beating up with a little kissing and caressing, just to give Devin the full sensory experience.

This is another very nicely done sequence. Jewell does a great job as a dom, and repeatedly reminds Devin about what she has to do to please her in the future and why she’s being punished here. It puts a bit of substance in the scene, and works very well.

Bonus Scene 3 - Jewell Marceau and Ashley Renee

The third bonus scene comes from Knotty Thoughts. Jewell start out in some great black fetishwear with Ashley restrained in a chair wearing plenty of clothespins and a mask. She flogs Ashley a little before running her tongue across her face and chest and removing the pins with her mouth. Afterwards the girls are tied up on the floor wearing ball gags. They roll around trying to get loose, and after a while Jewell gets one hand around to that she can play with Ashley a little. There’s some nice tenderness here, and the scene cuts out after the girls feel like they’ve bonded a little.

This is the weakest scene here. It feels like two small sequences put together rather than one larger sequence, which holds it back a little. It wouldn’t be so bad, but there’s such a different feel between the two sequences that it really stands out. The two sequences aren’t too bad, but just feel very short and very different.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of B&D Pleasures’ DVDs can be found online for between $17 and $25, with only a few stores offering them. If you’re at all interested in bondage, this one is worth picking up. The action is very well done, as are the technical aspects and extras. I think this is the best put together bondage DVD I’ve ever seen.

Note to B&D Pleasures: I’m not sure what to say other than ‘Wow!’ and ‘Great job!’. The only thing which held you back from getting a perfect 5 overall here was the camera lens fogging up in the second scene, and even then I debated on it. You’ve definitely gained a fan with the great job you’ve done on this DVD!
