Initial Expectations: I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen from Shot at Home, and now go into each of their movies with fairly high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s far from perfect technically, but with the reality of everything in the feature I couldn’t dislike it.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting to watch sex that looks and feels real rather than planned out

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants very high production values

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects aren’t great, but are pretty good for true amateur porn. The audio is clear and nicely balanced, although there are a couple spots where it’s slightly off. The biggest problem with the audio is that a pocket rocket is used through much of the feature, and most of the time its buzzing is the main thing you hear. The video is a bit more problematic. The lighting is okay, but there are more than a few shadows. Even worse, there’s noticeable pixelation throughout the entire movie and quite a few soft focus blurs which I’d almost be willing to bet are from the camera’s autofocus. There’s also a few remnants, but they don’t show up too much.

Disc Problems / Complaints: There’s a watermark for ShotAtHome.com in the lower right corner. Although I don’t care for watermarks, it’s very well done here. It’s very small, doesn’t move its location much, and doesn’t flip on and off, which makes it very easy to tune out.

Menus: The menus are very basic. The main menu is unanimated and the chapter menu lets you jump to one of six places in the movie based on stills of those scenes.

The Feature: Laura, a cute brunette with a great body, is ready for her first anal experience. She’s got a plastic sheet for the bed, a great body, a full jar of Vaseline, and a good sense of humor. She’s a little worried and unsure about it, and lets her feelings be known throughout her entire experience.

Unlike most anal scenes, Jessica starts out with an enema after briefly touching herself lightly. After getting filled up and not liking the feeling much, Laura doesn’t want to let it go either. The cameraman teases and jokes with her while trying to get her to let it loose, and they both share quite a few laughs. She squirts a little water out, as well as dribbling a little more, before heading to the bathroom by herself.

After she returns to the bed, Jessica gets her pussy licked a little. The guy makes sure she has a well Vas-ed ass, and afterwards, plays with it while eating her. Not five minutes into Jessica’s Real Anal Deflowering, it had won me over. In addition to the real feel that few “professional” movies are able to achieve, it has a tremendous spirit. Jessica captures the worries of somebody embarking on their first anal experience very well, and the guy does a great job in balancing it out with plenty of humor and more than a little care to make sure her spirits stay up and that she doesn’t chicken out. The humor really helps things out, as it’s obvious that the entire movie is shot on a tripod without a cameraman. Unlike some other people who I won’t name *cough* Ed *cough*, the camera is normally pretty well adjusted. It’s obvious the guy knew right where his camera was shooting, and he kept things well set up for most of the feature. Unfortunately, since nobody’s behind the camera for most of the feature, there are a few areas where heads are cut off as Jessica’s ass is getting deflowered. It also means that there’s only one point of view throughout the entire movie, which annoyed me a little. I would have loved to have seen Jessica’s face at a few points through the movie, but instead there’s less than five minutes out of the entire movie where you can see her face. The guy’s face, however, you see many times, and thankfully he isn’t that bad a looking guy.

I’ll admit that part of me wanted to hate Jessica’s Real Anal Deflowering, but I couldn’t. Everything about it comes out so real, from the apprehension to the pain to the eventual pleasure, that I couldn’t. In fact, I’d be tempted to recommend this to many couples considering trying anal. Yes, there’s some great instructional videos out there done by true experts. As great as having experts is, it’s also part of the problem. They’re very well versed with almost every aspect of anal sex and it shows. With Jessica you get the real responses while seeing what’s happening. You don’t get that elsewhere, and it’s the main reason that I can’t help but like Jessica’s Real Anal Deflowing Vol. 4, and I know I’m going to have to see more of her in the future.

Extras: There’s over a half hour of previews from other Shot at Home releases. In each case you get about four minutes of the movie as well as being informed where the footage comes from. My only complaint is that each movie doesn’t get its own chapter. There are chapters, but the chapter breaks don’t coincide with the clip breaks. On the positive side, however, there is a bit of humor thrown in with some of the information screens. It’s a great extra, especially considering how many other releases Shot at Home has out there.

Overall: Currently, the Shot At Home line available exclusively at Adult DVD Empire for about $20 each. Once again, Shot at Home has delivered a great amateur movie. It’s definitely limited, but I think the reality of the situations here will make it a winner with amateur anal fans. The technical aspects are limited, as with most amateur movies, but there’s some nice extra footage from other Shot at Home features as an extra.

Note to Shot at Home: I know you’re trying for a very amateur feel here, so I’m not going to complain about the style as you’ve obviously captured it very well. The main thing I’d change here is your previews. Let each movie have its own chapter so that if a person has seen one of the movies, they can easily skip to the next trailer.
