Blu-Ray vs. DVD: The Blu-Ray has the same offerings as the DVD with the higher quality audio and video the format allows. It also has a few more trailers and a different menu style that works well for me.

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are every bit as solid as one would expect from Digital Playground. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It's nicely lit with a very clear picture and a steady hand on the camera.

The Movie: Jesse Jane is a romance novelist struggling with writers block. After a few calls from her editor, she suddenly finds inspiration and her characters come to life around her.

After one argument too many, James lays down the law with Asa, and lets her know that if she's going to behave like a child he's going to treat her like one. Jesse Jane: Romance is one of those movies that I couldn't help but really, really like even though part of me didn't want to. The movie falls somewhere between a light feature and a vignette movie with Jesse playing an author and the scenes being the stories in her book. It's something that's been done a million and one times before, and for that reason part of me didn't want to like it nearly as much as I did. That said, everything about the movie worked for me so well that I couldn't help but really like it before the first scene was even halfway done. So often the “romance novel pornos” keep things toned down completely, but this one seemed to let the performers go a bit more. James and Asa's opening scene has some good intensity to it, and it's obvious from start to finish that they're both completely into it as well as each other. Jessie's scene also gets nicely intense with Manuel giving her one honey of an ass pounding complete with spanking her ass and slapping her face a bit, and with every pump and stroke Jessie seems to get into it more and more. Kendall also turns out a very nice scene with Manuel full of chemistry, and does a great job taking on Manuel with his energy and a bit of intensity. Jesse also turns out two fantastic scenes, and I love how she started her scene with Erik giving him a little role reversal dirty talk while Erik. Her opening with James was just as enjoyable, and the two of them turned out a great scene that was every bit as full of energy and chemistry as one would expect. Jesse Jane: Romance isn't anything you haven't seen a few times before, but odds are you haven't seen it done as well as it is here and that makes it well worth the purchase.

The Extras: Trailers are included for eight other Digital Playground releases. The photo gallery lasts four minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette and company information.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about eleven and a half minutes. Jesse starts out showing off her big titties as well as her new ink. Asa chats with Jamal a bit as does Kendall and Jesse, who chat about their upcoming roles and show off a bit including some sex action. There's also a bit more fun with Jesse, which should come as no surprise with her looks and personality. This is a fun little behind the scenes featurette that adds nicely to the overall release.
