Initial Expectations: I didn’t think Jenna Jameson’s Wicked Anthology Volume One 1995 came close to living up to its potential. I hope this one comes closer, but can’t go in with too much hope.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As with most compilations, the technical aspects vary a bit. Thankfully, Wicked normally puts enough care into their movies that it isn’t too noticeable here. The audio is clear and nicely balanced without any background noises to interfere. The video has a bit of grain and a few shadows in places. That said, for the age of the scenes the scenes look very well. The same can be said for the interview sequences, which are nicely lit and barely have any grain.

Music: The music varies throughout the movie. During the interviews it rests very quietly in the background and adds nicely to the feel of the setups. During the scenes themselves the music varies, but normally helps out the scenes.

Menus: The main menu is nicely done. It combines a nice shot of the cover with several clips from the movie. The chapter menu is a bit of a disappointment. Rather than let you know something like which movie each scene comes from, you’re just given the generic clip and chapter number.

The Feature

Anybody who’s watched porn, or even paid the slightest bit of attention to it in roughly the last decade has heard of Jenna Jameson. She’s arguably the biggest female name the adult industry has ever had, and has one of the most devoted fan bases as well. For quite a while many of her fans have been wanting a compilation of her Wicked movies, and it continues here with a compilation of scenes from her time with Wicked in 1996. Once again the scenes are set up with interviews. This time around Joy King, Wicked’s VP of Sales, sets up most of the scenes, although there are also several other interviews to set the stage for Jenna’s second year with Wicked.

Scene 1 - Jenna Jameson, Asia Carrera, and T. T. Boy

The first scene comes from Phantasm. T. T. starts out eating Jenna’s pussy while Asia watches, but Asia soon starts to join in by caressing Jenna. Asia fully works over Jenna’s pussy and ass as Jenna goes down on T. T. and then goes back to caressing Jenna as she rides T. T.’s cock. Asia takes her turn also, but she and Jenna don’t interact much after the fucking starts, preferring to work on themselves instead. Finally Jenna takes T. T.’s pop on her personnel floatation devices and then licks at his jiz a bit.

At the time, and even yet today, these are two of the top female stars out there and it’s a big disappointment to not see them really working on each other. Asia puts a little effort into it, but Jenna never appears to. This ends up as a pretty average scene.

Scene 2 - Jenna Jameson, Mark Davis, and Steven St. Croix

Next up is a scene from Lip Service where Jenna dreams of taking on Mark and Steven in a freight elevator. She turns her oral skills loose between them before letting Steven nail her from behind while she gives Mark some sucking and stroking. Mark also gives it to her missionary style before giving her a nice pop in the mouth and before Steven shoots his load over and across her face.

This is another pretty good scene. Jenna does a great job playing between the guys, and gives the camera plenty of nicely done eyes as well. Most impressive, however, is her facial, which she takes with her normal excellent style.

Scene 3 - Jenna Jameson, Nico Treasures, and Peter North

Things get Pure for the third scene. Jenna walks into a room with a seventies scene and Nico waiting for her. Before long Peter shows up in a plaid suit and bow tie selling vacuum cleaners. After seeing some of Peter’s work I would have thought that he’d be selling stain remover or eye protection, but he’s plenty amusing as the vacuum salesman. Of course the girls go to work on Peter’s peter, and they work the oral love all around. Soon after he’s having his way with parts of the girls that don’t suck, at least not in the same way. He fucks Jenna from behind and takes Nico missionary style before the girls share the patented Peter pecker pop.

This is a pretty hot scene. There’s a nice balance between Jenna and Nico in the scene, which lets it feel like a true group scene rather than a Jenna scene with company. As always Peter delivers at the end, and with the chemistry here it’s easy to see why there were so many Peter / Jenna pairings in her time at Wicked.

Scene 4 - Jenna Jameson and Jeanna Fine

Jenna and Jeanna’s scene from Hard Evidence comes in next as the only all girl scene in the movie. Both ladies are dressed all in black and Jeanna starts by running an ice cube across a blindfolded Jenna on the table. They kiss the ice cube back and forth and then show just how much can be done with fingers.

This is a hot scene, and about as good as I would have hoped for with these two ladies without any toys. The balance between Jenna and Jeanna is very well done, and I love the ice cube play. Of course, Jeanna is normally in control, but Jenna plays her more submissive part very well.

Scene 5 - Jenna Jameson and Peter North

Jenna teams up with Peter North again for a scene from Silver Screen Confidential. Jenna and Peter start off with some nice kissing before he moves his mouth down to kiss her lower lips. Jenna returns Peter’s oral favors with no shortage of interest before they movie through a bit of doggie and spooning. Jenna finally finishes things up with one of her normal great facials.

This is a great scene, and easily the best of Jenna’s scenes from the movie. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with a Peter / Jenna pairing, and this one is no different. They keep things moving very nicely and put some great chemistry and energy into the scene.

Scene 6 - Jenna Jameson and Vince Voyeur

Things come to a close with Jenna and Vince’s pairing from Conquest: Special Edition, where Jenna and Vince get it on on the beach. They exchange oral favors before Vince gives it to Jenna from behind. They keep things going through a few more positions before Vince gives Jenna a nice facial.

This is another okay scene. There’s decent chemistry between Vince and Jenna, but the music was the only audio through this scene and that always hurts chemistry for me. They look like they’re enjoying each other and put in some nice energy, but the scene still lacked. It’s a very short scene, and for the major scene of the movie it didn’t seem like nearly enough attention was paid to it.

Jenna Jameson’s Wicked Anthology 2: 1996 leaves me with much the same feeling as Jenna Jameson’s Wicked Anthology Volume One 1995. In the late nineties, this would have seemed like a great compilation, and I’m sure I would be singing its praises. At the time it would seem like the top of the crop due to having a nice introduction to each scene, a decent length, and great organization. Today, however it comes up lacking for many reasons, especially compared to Adam & Eve’s Signature Series, VCA’s Deep Inside..., and Private’s The Private Life of... series. First of course, is the length. While other companies out there are releasing compilations focusing on their major stars running over two hours (and Private’s Private Life of... series really leading the way here), Wicked doesn’t even get up to a full hour and a half here. Compared to other compilations, Wicked is easily the shortest out there. If Jenna only did these six movies in 1996 I guess I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but according to the IAFD Jenna did nine movies for Wicked in 1996. Jenna Ink, Betrayed, and Jinx are all ignored here even though there’s plenty of room to fit a scene from each of them in the feature! I’d also like to see a few more interviews, even though the directors and Joy do add quite a bit to the compilation. It would have been great to have an interview with Jenna here, but since Wicked doesn’t seem to want to do anything with her how about other stars talking about Jenna’s scenes inspiring them? Also, although Joy and the directors do a great job, Steve Orenstein’s absence is greatly noticed once again. Many people consider Jenna the person who put Wicked on the map, and Orenstein’s absence makes him seem ungrateful at best and spiteful at worst. I’ve heard very good things about Steve Orenstein, but as a porn viewer the attitude that he appears to put out doesn’t put him in the best light. The same can be said for Brad Armstrong’s absence, since if I remember right they were off-screen partners at the time and this time was the start of a very successful team-up between Brad and Jenna. All that isn’t to say that Jenna Jameson’s Wicked Anthology 2: 1996 is a bad compilation. It does show some care and give a few nice looks at Jenna’s time with Wicked in 1996. The problem with Jenna Jameson’s Wicked Anthology 2: 1996 is that it doesn’t look like it comes close to using the mountain of potential it has just waiting to be mined.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for XXX Training, Space Nuts, Sex & Romance, Hercules, and Heat. There’s also star stars for Jenna as well as photo galleries from each of the movies featured in the compilation which lasts around a minute and a half each with about eight seconds per varying quality snapshot or full screen photo. There’s also two bonus scenes, promotional materials, and DVD-ROM material.

Bonus Scene 1 - Jenna Jameson and Vince Voyeur

The first bonus scene is the extended version of Jenna and Vince’s scene from Conquest: Special Edition which now runs about seventeen minutes. Vince starts things out kissing Jenna’s kitty as she lays back on the beach and working on her briefly with the thing at the end of his long hair. Jenna reciprocates nicely with some great knob gobbling before turning around and letting Vince fuck her from behind against the stone structures on the beach. They work through a couple other positions against the rock, with Jenna taking it all as easily as if she’s fucking against a pile of feather pillows. They lighten things up a bit for some doggie style in the sand before Vince strokes himself onto Jenna’s face.

This is a great scene, and far superior to the original! You can see some very nice chemistry between Jenna and Vince, and it doesn’t have any music so you can actually hear them interact. Everything about this scene is superior and it was good enough that I don’t know why Wicked didn’t offer this scene in their rerelease of the movie with a directors cut or something like it.

Bonus Scene 2 - Jenna Jameson, Peter North, and Mark Davis

The second bonus scene comes from The Wicked One. Jenna sucks on Mark’s cock while Peter eats her pussy and ass before the guys switch places. Since Mark’s already down there he takes the first turn fucking Jenna. He moves around, eating her pussy and also moving up to jerk off above Jenna’s tits while playing with her pussy. Peter also takes a nice turn with Jenna, leaving Mark to enjoy her oral pleasures. They finish things up by covering Jenna with jizz from head to toe. Mark takes care of the head, popping in her mouth which she partially swallows down, while Peter decorates the rest of her body.

This is a great scene, which is nothing new with these three. There’s great intensity right from the start, as well as plenty of chemistry. The guys do a great job working over Jenna, and I never had the feeling that she was anything but completely into it. This is a great bonus scene, and one that once again shows some of the limitations of this series by it not being included in the previous volume.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Wicked’s DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $30 with many stores offering them for around $21. Rent this one first. There’s some decent scenes here and a bit of care, but the overall package doesn’t come close to using the potential it has. The technical aspects are nicely done and there’s even some nice care put into the extras. This isn’t a bad disc, but it falls so short of what it could be that I can’t recommend it too highly.

Note to Wicked: You’ve always put a lot of nice effort into your DVDs. Please put a little more effort into the little things, such as your chapter menu and a few more chapter breaks. I really can’t see any reason why the interviews and the scenes themselves have to be on one chapter here.
