Initial Expectations: Digital Playground rarely disappoints me. I can't help but have high expectations here.

Initial Reaction: Mmmmmmmm. Jana Cova. Oh, and the rest of the movie's pretty darn hot as well.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there was one area which had a few minor background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It's well lit and smooth as well as having a few artistic touches here and there.

Music: There's a little music here and there. It varies in style throughout the movie slightly, but often has a seventies feel that matches the artistic style of the movie very well.

Menus: The main menu works through some funky animation before blending it with stills of the girls for a cool first impression. The chapter menu nicely lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene, a chapter number, and the name of the girl(s) in their first chapter.

The Feature

Jana Cova Video Nasty keeps things nice and simple. Although the scenes normally have a little sequence to lead into them with a hint of a story and a bit of humor, they all stand independent of each other and are only connected by Celeste's artistic style and Robby D.'s great eye behind the camera.

Scene 1 – Jana Cova and Shay Jordan

Scene 2 – Heather Gables, Marco Banderas, and Tommy Gunn

As Tommy and Marco bring out garbage from their party the night before, Tommy lets Marco know that the last bag wasn't garbage, it was white trash. This is a pretty hot scene that lost a lot of momentum near the end. The 'white trash' opening gave the scene some nice humor, and there was nice chemistry all around starting out the scene. Heather did a great job taking on both cocks without seeming like she had any preference for one over the other, and then came the time to move on with the pop shot. Here the scene took a few huge steps back for me for a couple reasons. First, Heather seemed ready to have herself surgically attached to Marco's leg, which made Tommy really feel like a third wheel for the scene. Second, there's a lot of meat spanking here with Tommy seeming like he might be having some wood problems. All you can see is faces with some arm movement, but it's clear what Tommy's doing and all Heather seems to do do help is give him looks saying “See, fucker? This is why I'm trying to surgically attach myself to Marco!”. If a minute or two were cut from before the pop shot, this would have been a much better scene.

Scene 3 – Jana Cova and Lisa Daniels

Lisa looked just as good in her lime green outfit with black and silver pumps, and the scene started out with a wonderfully playful and sexy feeling. There's great chemistry between the girls, and although it feels like there might still be a little left between the girls, the scene ends feeling like they might actually be done rather than just having time run out. This scene worked for me in a very big way.

Scene 4 – Alexis Texas and Jerry

As dirty blonde Alexis naps on a couch in a blue and white dress, Jerry moves in to sniff her ass. This is a hot scene, but it has problems keeping up with the rest of the movie.

Scene 6 – Adrianna Nicole, Jerry, and Tony De Sergio

Tony starts out the final scene spreading out some newspapers on the floor and letting busty bottle blonde Adrianna, who's in an open baby blue drop, a little black skirt, and baby blue, white, and black fur topped boots, know that she's to go potty on the papers, not the floor. This is a very good scene to finish the movie with. It has some of the same humor to start the scene with and then moves nicely into the sex. This is yet another hot and well shot scene, and it helps to end the movie on the same high note that flowed through most of the movie.

Jana Cova Video Nasty is a fun fuck flick. There's nothing close to a plot here, and instead the scenes are tied together loosely by all having the same seventies style openings that reminded me a little of the Steven Soderbergh's style in Oceans 13. The style is helped out further by some very nice outfits, which is something that Celeste looks to put a lot of effort into when one looks across her movies. Jana Cova does a great job in all three of her scenes here, but her scene with Lisa Daniels easily came out as my favorite in the movie with most of the rest of them coming in close behind it. Surprisingly, Jana's scene with Andie Valentino and Sammie Rhodes was one of the weaker scenes in the movie for me, and Heather Gables' scene with Tommy Gunn and Marco Banderas also fell a little behind due to a poor ending. As with most of Celeste's movies, Jana Cova Video Nasty is as much about the style as the sex, and once again she managed to merge the two with great results.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Pirates 2, Island Fever 4, Icon, Shay: All American Girl, Sexual Freak 4: Jana, Image, Pirates, and the Virtual Sex With... series. The photo gallery can be viewed either manually or as part of a slide show lasting nearly four minutes with about five seconds per great looking snapshot or full screen photo. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a bonus scene, bios for Jana Cova and Shay Jordan, and internet information.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about eight and a quarter minutes with Jamal Johnson behind the camera. Jamal starts out chatting with Brah Bones before moving over to capture some of the fun between Adrianna Nicole, Jerry, and Tony. Jana is next for her scene with Lisa as well as her scene with Andie and Sammie, and has a little fun chatting with them with Jana showing off plenty of personality once again. Alexis chats about her “first” sexual experience and not doing girls at all before Heather shows why she's known for her ass rather than her mind. Jamal also captures a bit of the shoot between Jana and Shay and chats with the crew before things come to a close with plenty more clips around the set. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette, but was missing a bit of the spark that's made so many of Digital Playground's other behind the scenes featurettes so fun.

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. This one's worth the money. The sex is hot, the setups are fun, and there's some nice variety to the action. The technical aspects and extras also show some nice effort, although as always I couldn't help but wish for a little more for the behind the scenes featurette. This is a hot and nicely done release.
