At First Glance

This came to me from a fellow forum member who wanted my take on this particular gay DVD. When it arrived I was thinking, "Alright! Beefcake galore!"

The Run Down

I am not a big fan of play by play reviews, I think it ruins the movie for people. However, I know some readers look for that in a review to decide if it's the type of movie they'd be interested in. So...with this one, because it would take me days to summarize and critique each scene, I'll give you 2 play by play's in addition to my standard Why's, Likes and Dislikes..    

     This is was strange approach to porn...it had a very movie like feel to it. It's a full 5 minutes of scenery (with lots of religious references) before we hear or see anyone. It's filmed entirely in the Czech Republic and is filled with scenery as well as beefcake. It's obvious what the directors fetishes are (Jesus on the cross and cum on feet are regular appearances in this DVD) and I have to say although I questioned the wisdom on basing a porn on personal fetishes, I liked the idea of combining beauty and sex.

     We meet Jan as he is leaving the priesthood, he packs his suitcase and hitches a ride out of town in the back of a wagon with some pheasants. (yes the birds, not poor folks)
     Jan lands a job as a bellhop and gets right to work as he brings up room service to Pavel Dubcek, a little footsie, some feeding and wala! Jan takes it over the writing table and Pavel cums on Jan's heel. (?)

     These are all very long scenes, is:  It's 22 minutes into the DVD when we have the first pop shot.

     Jan jacks himself off into Pavel's cupped hands and then we're suddenly in 69 on the bed. Again Jan bottoms, takes it from behind, laying on his side, stroking his flaccid penis. After Pavel pulls out Jan jacks himself off to orgasm and Pavel cums on Jan's chest.

Scene 2 is our next candidate because it was the twin scene and this one I think would attract the most curiosity.

     Jan goes down to the kitchen and tells his co-workers Jirka & Karal Bartek (twins) he has the keys to a room and the mini bar. Of course this is too good to pass up so they all go up to the vacant room. But uh oh...as Jan hands the twins their drinks they simultaneously reach up to stroke his cock thru his pants.

What I Liked

-Kudos' for attempting a plot without ruining the movie.

-I appreciated the cuddle, touch stuff that happened after the pop shots.

-Lot's of variety! Plenty of fun positions.

-There wasn't a single Fugly person in this DVD.

-I liked the directors commentary. I was a little startled at William Higgins, he seems to be a older, distinguished gentleman. (he didn't fit my perception of a porn director) It was nice to see the person behind the work and hear about their adventures in finding locations and talent.

What I Didn't Like

-Mr. Higgins, although you may find it cultured, it is my opinion classical music has no place in porn as background music.

-   I like the idea of multiple orgasms in a scene, but it was jerky from cum to continuation. There was no flow. One second we're standing, the next we're laying...I need more flow to get into a scene.

-It was so quiet! I'm sorry but anal is not a quiet affair. I wanna hear some heavy breathing, some exclamations, some effort, passion!

-Yee Gads! He went from ass to ass with one condom! (scene 2 with the twins)

-Were these gay for pay men? No one really seemed to be into what they were doing. The fact that there were a lot of manual jack off's reinforced this thought.

My Overall Impression

     As I said before, this was just a very strange approach to porn. But I did appreciate the handsome men, and the good sex and I think that won me over more than any shortcomings the plot and editing had. I'd give this 3.75 hard cocks of 5.
