Initial Expectations: Robby D. has made this series a lot of fun. He has another great cast with this installment which gives me all the more hope for it.

Initial Reaction: It's not quite up to the same level as some of the other recent Jack's POV releases, but it's still a lot of fun.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are just as good as one would expect from Digital Playground. The audio is clear and well balanced, including the audio changes between the stunt cocks and Robby D. behind the camera. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. The picture is clear, and for a hand held movie there's very little motion. There are a few noticeable editing cuts, but the picture is clear and smooth.

Menus: The main menu blends a little animation with a still of Teagan for a simple but nice first impression. The chapter menu is much the same way, and lets you choose a scene bases on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number that doesn't correspond to the chapter numbers in the movie, as well as the name of the girl in her first chapter.

The Feature

Jack's back, and he's looking to get a bit more action. Unlike many POV movies, Jack's POV actually takes the time to give the scene a quick setup with plenty of tease, and that lets a little chemistry build in each scene. As usual, Robby D. plays “Jack” behind the camera, but now others are often out to steal his camera and have some fun for themselves.

The problem here is Tyler. While the rest of the movie has a very fun and playful feeling, Tyler brings his usual feeling that's borderline degrading and makes Teagan seem almost desperate. I know there's plenty of people who seemed to have lost a bit of interest in Teagan as she turned from barely legal girl into a sexy woman, and I'm definitely not one of them. I am, however, starting to lose a bit of interest in her due to her only performing with Tyler. It's great that they're a real life couple who only want to be with each other, but her scenes have definitely suffered lately because of it with this one being the latest victim. This isn't a bad scene, but it is the weakest in the movie.

Jack's POV 12 is a fun POV release. Robby D. and the cast put some nice effort into the openings to let a little chemistry build and it also helps to keep the movie nice and light. I think Shyla Stylez turned out the best scene with Alexis Silver coming in a very close second. Sadly Teagan turned in the weakest scene, which came in at the bottom not due to any lack of effort on her part but instead due to the scene losing the fun feeling due to Tyler Durden's usual borderline degrading feeling that makes Teagan seem downright desperate at times. The other problem with the movie was that it didn't have quite the same flow as earlier installments of the series. There's a couple scenes where “Jack” is never even mentioned, and with those scene mixed in with the traditional “Jack POV” scenes the movie has a slightly rough road at times. Jack's POV 12 is hot and fun, but not quite as hot and fun as earlier episodes.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. The low end isn't a bad price for what you get here. Most of the movie is fun and the action is nicely captured. The technical aspects show the usual care one should expect with Digital Playground, but sadly there's no effort put into the extras. This is a good movie on a DVD that could have used a touch more overall effort.

Note to Digital Playground: With how many fun behind the scenes featurettes you've included on your DVDs in recent times it's very noticeable when you put out a bare bones DVD instead.
