Initial Expectations: This has been a very fun series, and as with anything else with Robby D. behind the camera, I can't help but look forward to it.

Initial Reaction: It's light and fun, just like I've come to expect with a trip to Jack's Playground.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Digital Playground, the technical aspects show a lot of care. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I barely noticed any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It's clear and well lit, and as usual Robby has a steady hand with the camera.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu nicely works together a bit of animation with a few stills of the girls. The chapter menu is a bit generic and lets you choose a scene based on a clip of the scene and the chapter numbers, but also gives you the girl(s) name(s) in their first chapter.

The Feature

Jack's Playground sticks with a simple formula. Jack (Robby D.) is hustling girls who want to get into music videos, and wants to know how bad they want to get in. He mixes in a few little skits, and the girls will do anything from give a little show to give it all up.

Scene 1 – Selina Draagen and Scott Nails

Scott starts things out letting Jack know how hot the girl he has coming over is moments before she arrives at the door. Scott introduces them as she comes in wearing jeans, a white wifebeater that gives you a glimpse of her pierced titties, a hideous stud below her lower lip, and hot silver and black pointy shoes. They have her strut around before letting the guys know she has a talent for lapdances that she starts showing Scott moments later. Scene 2 – Marlena and Sophia Santi

As usual the camera work is well done, but the scene as a whole just couldn't make it too far past the average mark.

Scene 3 – Alyssa Chase and Scott Nails

As Scott drives Jack around in his new care, brunette Alyssa comes up to chat with them since she thinks he has a hot car. Scene 4 – Carli Banks

Bottle blonde Carli starts out the next scene checking Jack out through a hole in a box. He passes her some money through the hole as she sucks on a finger and they chat. This is a pretty good solo scene. I'll admit to the peep hole aspect of the scene being a bit hit or miss for me, as there were times when it really ticked me off by not giving me as much as I wanted to see but at the same time liking it due to Robby trying something a little different. It's helped out quite a bit by Robby and Carli looking like they're having a lot of fun with it, but still didn't make it too far past the average mark for me.

Scene 5 – Christina Brooks and Ben English

Smoking hot brunette Christina starts the next scene out shooting a little pool in leather pants, heels, and a black top that has trouble containing her tits. She catches Jack watching her when his phone goes off, and is eager to meet him when he lets her know that he's Ben's friend and she puts it together that he's the music video director. Yes, this scene may be a bit of a cliche, but Christina, Ben, and Robby still make it a fun scene.

Scene 6 – Holly Wellin and Scott Nails

This is a hot and fun scene. Yes, the farting opening is low humor, but there are times like this when low humor works extremely well for me. This is a fun and hot scene that ends Jack's Playground 36 on a high note.

Jack's Playground 36 is a light and fun fuck flick. No, there isn't a lot of originality here as the music video gag can get a bit tiring, but Robby does try to mix things up a little with things like Carli's peepshow scene. Although the music video gag might be becoming a bit too much of a cliché (which might be why the series seems to be sitting longer on the shelf with each new installment before it comes out), Robby still makes it work pretty well with the help of Scott, Ben, and the girls just because everybody looks like they're having a great time throughout the movie. There's some nice chuckles provided by the cast as well as Montel the dildo introducing the scenes, and the sex keeps the fun feeling going. Holly Wellin, Christina Brooks, and Selina Draagen turned out my favorite scenes here, but there isn't a single scene here that dips below the average mark. Jack's Playground 36 might suffer a bit by feeling overly familiar, but it's hard to dislike it when it feels like more than anything it just wants to have fun.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. Rent this one first or aim a bit low. There's some nice sex and a fun feeling, but the DVD lacks a little due to barely any effort being put into the extras. The technical aspects are up to Digital Playground's normal high level, but the DVD as a whole just seemed to lack a little something.

Note to Digital Playground: A little effort towards the extras would have been very nice here...
