Initial Expectations: It's been a heck of a long time since I've checked out any of the original Jack's Playground series, but Robby's really been impressing me with some of the offshoots from the series (especially the Jack's Teen America line). I'm going into this one with some good hope.

Initial Reaction: It's fun and light, and manages to do both without making the sex feel held back.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual, Digital Playground and Robby D. have put plenty of effort into the technical aspects. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are a few background noises, when they appear they fit the style and location of the scene. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen, and looks every bit as good. It's clear and mostly well lit, and although there is a few dark spots and a bit of camera motion it fits the hand held “Jack” style.

Music: There's a little music during the comedy skits, but none during the sex.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a bit of animation with a few stills and a bit of the movie in the background for a very nice first impression. The chapter menu starts out with a generic feel by giving a clip of each scene and a chapter number in a predictable format, but then raises itself up a notch by listing the first name of each girl in the first chapter of her sequence.

The Feature

Jack's Playground sticks with a simple formula. Jack (Robby D.) is hustling girls who want to get into music videos, and wants to know how bad they want to get in. He mixes in a few little skits, and the girls will do anything from give a little show to give it all up.

Scene 1 – Alexis Silver and Chris Charming

Of course, a playful nature and Robby D.'s “Jack” scenes are nothing new, but it is a very nice feeling compared to so much of the other porn out there. Alexis and Chris gave Jack's Playground 32 a very nice start.

Scene 2 – Sophia Santi

She throws out some good attitude that gives the scene a nicely different feel, and the Daddy talk also worked well. This is a short scene, but it has plenty of heat and worked very well for me. My only complaint here is that the scene didn't last longer.

Scene 3 – Michelle Maylene and Jerry

Scene 4 – Jelena Jensen

This is a great variation on the solo scene, which might have got a touch old here with three solo scenes in the movie. This is a hot scene that shows just one more time why Jelena Jensen should be in front of the camera a lot more than she seems to be.

Scene 5 – Flower Tucci and Scott Nails

Scene 6 – Sophia Santi

That problem is the ending, which seemed just a little too quick. I mean, Sophia looked like she might be having an orgasm, and it felt like there was a maximum of two orgasm seconds allowed in the scene so it ended there. This would have been a very nice solo scene if it would have lasted a little longer, but as it is it might be the weakest in the movie.

Scene 7 – Brooke Haven and Scott Nails

This scene just fell short.

Jack's Playground 32 is a hot little porno. Yes, it works the “music video tryout” aspects, but doesn't dwell on it too much. Robby captures the sex very well, and does a good job mixing up the styles a little by talking with the girls in some scenes and going with a voyeuristic feel in Jelena's tease. Most importantly, Robby manages to make a movie that I'm sure many feel is “Couples Friendly” due to not having a lot of anal and holding back on the ass to mouth action. There's a softer feel here, but the scenes all have nice chemistry with the performers looking like they're enjoying themselves. There's a very level feel to most of the movie rather than having it be a roller coaster ride of hot and average at best scenes, which makes it very hard to pick a best scene in the movie. As for the weakest, the last two scenes in the movie definitely fell a little short for me. The humor skits are also quite nice, and actually had me laughing out loud. The only real complaints I can see anybody having about Jack's Playground 32 are that Flower doesn't put out a squirting performance like many might expect and that Sophia Santi seems horribly underused in her two shorter solo scenes. I knew when I saw her featured prominently on the cover that this was going to be the next DVD to find its way into my player, and I was a little disappointed that she was only in two solo scenes rather than getting in a little gash gobbling goodness. Jack's Playground 32 might have a couple little faults, but it also keeps a fun feeling with a nice variety of good looking women that worked very well for me. Once again, Robby D. is showing that there's a very good reason Digital Playground has such faith in him.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. I'd aim a bit low here. The movie isn't bad, but the last couple scenes fell a little short and Sophia Santi seemed a touch underused. The technical aspects are nicely done, but once again there's no real effort put into the extras. This is a pretty good movie and a DVD that's held back mostly by its lack of extras.

Note to Digital Playground: Once again, the only thing that seems to be missing here is extras...
