Initial Expectations: Robby D. has been making some great movies for the Playground, so I can't help but have high expectations for this one.

Initial Reaction: It's very funny, but not quite up to the sexual level as many of Robby D.'s other movies.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Digital Playground, the technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, with the only background noise being one low flying airplane that almost fit in with the reality nature of Robby's movies. The video is also very well done, starting with an anamorphic widescreen transfer. There's just a hint of grain, which works very well for the movie, and the camera work is very fluid. The only complaint I can have about the video is that there are a fair number of shadows which appear and interfere with the scenes slightly.

Music: There's a little music during some of the non-sex portions, but none during the sex scenes.

Menus: The main menu blends a little animation and a fun style with the boxcover for a good first impression. The chapter menu is very basic, and lets you choose a scene just from a small clip of the chapter and a chapter number.

The Feature

Jack's back, and on his way toward making his first porn movie. He has plenty of ideas, as well as plenty of help from his friends. He also has plenty to learn as he deals with scripts, fussy talent, bitchy reviewers, and poor boxcovers.

Scene 1 – Penny Flame and Scott Nails

“Eighteen year old” brunette Penny starts things out in a white hotpants and bikini top with multicolored shoes diddling herself lightly before talking about how she's been waiting a lifetime for a hard cock to just walk in and start pounding her. I'm not sure if he's doing it on purpose for the “first porn” theme of the movie or not, but it just didn't work as well for me as he normally does. This is definitely an above average scene, but it also felt like it had the potential to be even better than it was.

Scene 2 – Kaiya Lynn and Eric Masterson

Hot Oriental Kaiya, a “professional” Jack got off the street, takes on Eric, aka 80913, the day he got out of jail for the concept of Jack's next scene. Kaiya strips off her green and white jacket to show a sexy black tube top, panties, and wide fishnets, and causes Eric to spring into action at the sight of her tits. I'm not sure whether Robby put a lot of thought into this or if he had a few years in jail “researching”.

Scene 3 – Devaun and Ben English

Scene 4 – Victoria Sweet and Scott Nails

Things run into a snag when they learn that Victoria doesn't speak any English, but Scott quickly works around it and ends up with Victoria on her knees polishing his knob. The sex is simple and straightforward, but there's nothing wrong with that at times. This is a pretty hot scene.

Scene 5 – Jana Cova and Valentina Vaughn

Blonde Jana and brunette Valentina are more than excited to work with each other, and quickly start checking each other out as introductions are made. They don't waste much time stripping each other down to check out each other's tits with a little kiss before Jack has them get dressed again to start things out. As soon as he tells them to go Valentina has them stop and lets them know that since she's a professional, she won't let Jana touch her. This scene left me with very mixed feelings. Part of me was very happy with the scene, as there was plenty of humor and both girls looked great. Jana really shines in her solo scene, but therein lies the problem. With two girls this hot, even the sex ended up being a bit of a joke rather than having them work each other over. On paper this seems like a great scene, but watching it the scene just kept seeming like a reminder of what we were being denied.

Scene 6 – Haley Scott and Tommy Gunn

Jack starts things out confusing brunette Haley, who is in a red fishnet top with a black bra, skirt, and fishnets, about this being “My First Porn”. Still not getting it as they start the scene, she sits on the edge of the bed talking about it being her first porn as Tommy comes in to check her out. She overdoes the vocals a bit and had me doubting how into the scene she really was, but was still able to draw me into the scene a fair amount of the time. This is a pretty hot scene.

Jack's My First Porn 5 leaves me very torn. Sexually, there's plenty that I just don't know how I feel about it. There's the artistic scene with Jana and Valentina, the overacting with Haley, and the weaker camera work with Penny. The sex varies throughout it all, and often didn't make it much past the average level with the camera work not being quite up to the level I normally expect from Robby. At the same time, I don't know if he did all of that on purpose. Robby takes plenty of shots at the adult industry throughout this movie, and with how talented he's been showing himself to be lately I can easily see him doing all of it to maintain the joke and feel of it being his first porno. The jokes and shots he takes are very amusing here, and unlike so many “insider” type movies, Robby does it here in a way that you don't have to have plenty of knowledge about the industry to get the jokes and enjoy the movie. I know that I really enjoyed Jack's My First Porn 5, but Robby's done much better work sexually in some of his other movies.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. I'd aim a bit lower for this one. There's plenty of humor, but the sex isn't quite up to the level I normally expect from Robby D. The technical aspects show some very nice care, but there isn't much effort put into the extras. This is a pretty good DVD that could use just a little more effort.

Note to Digital Playground: Once again your lack of unique extras really stands out. With some of the shots taken at the industry in this one I can't believe there weren't some amusing bloopers or a fun attitude going around the set. Otherwise, with a movie that doesn't last much of an hour and a half, it would seem like there would be plenty of room on the DVD to include something from another Jack release, such as the newer Big Tit Show or Big Ass Show series.
