The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there are a few minor traffic background noises in Teagan's scene. The video is also pretty well done, starting with an anamorphic widescreen transfer. There's a touch more grain than I'm used to from Digital Playground as well as the lighting being a little on the low side throughout the movie.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu blends a little animation and a fun style with the boxcover for a good first impression. The chapter menu is very basic, and lets you choose a scene just from a small clip of the chapter and a chapter number.

The Feature

After working at the Teen America thing for a while, Jack's saved up a bit of money. He's decided to use it to make a porno, and is learning a few things from his mentor. Scene 1 - Austin Kinkaid and Chris Charming

Scene 2 - Terri Summers and Marco Duato

Sadly, that good thought is also some of what held the scene back for me. It limits the camera angles and Marco and Terri keep things fairly quiet, just as one would expect from an office fuck. There's some very good thought put into the scene, but I guess the reality of it just got in the way a little much for me.

Scene 3 - Lena Bacci and Joe Monti

Dirty blonde Lena, who has a hideous mole piercing and plenty of tattoos, tries doing a little dialogue with Joe only to have them throw it aside repeatedly not completely understanding English. Jack finally decides not to fight it and tells them what to do instead. He lets them check each other out briefly before having Lena get down to mouth Joe's joystick. The only thing she really seemed to show much enthusiasm for was sucking her ass off the cock, but she did also handle the facial pretty well. This scene might have reached the average level.

Scene 4 - Teagan and Tommy Gunn

Scene 5 - Lanny Barbie and Scott Nails

This is another great scene. Scott does a great job playing the porn newbie, while Lanny looks absolutely fantastic. Thankfully they pick back up well before they get to the anal, which Lanny also takes extremely well. Throughout it all, Robby does a very nice job mixing up the camera angles and rarely gave me a moment when I wanted a vastly different look at the action. Lanny and Scott help Jack's My First Porn to finish on a very high note.

Jack's My First Porn is a pretty good porno. There's some good humor about the jiz biz thrown in throughout the movie, but it's never anything so inside that porn newbies won't be able to get the jokes. The sex varies a bit, and nicely picks up steam throughout the movie. Lena's scene was easily the weakest link in the chain of sex that ran through the movie while Teagan and Lanny both turn in smoking hot performances that are well worth the price of admission. All that said, I can't help but think of this as one of the weakest Robby D. movies I've seen in a while. Yes, there's a couple hot scenes and some amusing bits, but it's rarely up to the level I've come to expect from him. At the same time, I can't hold it against him too much as Robby's trying something new here for his Jack persona. It has a few good ideas, and Robby's shown a great ability to learn and improve if given the chance. In his time at the Playground, it's looked like they've given him plenty of chances to learn which means that even though it isn't an extremely strong opening for the Jack's My First Porn Series, it's still going to be a series worth keeping an eye on. Jack's My First Porn has a few misfires, but still shows some nice potential for a series.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. I'd aim a bit low here. There's a couple really good scenes here, but also a dud and a couple above average scenes. The technical aspects are pretty good, but the video is a little dark. Finally, there's no real effort put into the extras, which seems to be the sad reality of Digital Playground. This is a pretty good DVD.

Note to Digital Playground: This is an older DVD, so it's nice to see that you've made some improvements to them since this one came out.
