Initial Expectations: Robby D. normally impresses me behind the camera and having a leg fetish release with Stoya only makes me look forward to this one all the more.

Initial Reaction: It's good, but it doesn't have the spark to take it beyond that.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few background noises in the last couple scenes with the camera. The video is very nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen, and looks nice through most of the movie. There are a few areas where the lighting gets a touch low, but the camera work is always nicely steady.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu works nicely from some animation into a shot of the boxcover with a little background animation. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number that doesn't correspond to the chapter numbers in the movie, and also lets you know the name of each girl in her first chapter.

The Feature

Jack's back, and lately he's had a very hard time thinking about anything but legs. Naturally he's surrounded by women with great legs, and as usual they want more to do with his friends (who also have legs on their mind) than him. At least they let him watch with his camera as they get it on.

Jack's Leg Show 4 is a good gonzo release. Robby D. does a nice job behind the camera, and mixes up the styles a bit between scenes as well as keeping the scenes light and fun. There isn't a bad scene here, but Stoya's scene easily took the cake for me with Madelyn coming in close behind her. Through it all there's some very nice attention given to feet and legs from the positions chosen to worshiping the legs and feet to footjobs. I would have liked a few more stockings and teasing that way in the movie, but the bigger problem for me was that the movie as a whole didn't quite have that spark that takes a movie from being good to being great and left me wondering how much Robby and some of the male cast really is into legs. Jack's Leg Show 4 is a good gonzo release, but it often feels like it's worried about being too fascinated with legs.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. Aim a bit low for this one. The movie's good, but doesn't quite have the spark I normally expect from Robby D. The technical aspects are nicely done, but there's basically no effort put into the extras. This is a good movie on a DVD that could have used a little more effort.

Note to Digital Playground: With the great job you do on your behind the scenes featurettes, their absence on releases like this really stands out.
