The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Digital Playground, there's some very nice effort put into the technical aspects. The audio is very clear and well balanced, and I don't think I noticed a single flaw. The video is almost as good, starting with Digital Playground giving the widescreen format the care it deserves with an anamorphic transfer. The camera work is smooth and steady, and shows just a hint of grain. The only problem with the video is there are a few moments where the lighting falters, leaving a couple spots slightly bleached out and a few shadows.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu nicely works through a couple clips of the movie to a nice still with plenty of ass and a little animation around it. The chapter menu is pretty generic and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number. Thankfully, the first chapter for each girl is also tagged with the name of the girl in the scene.

The Feature

Robby D. goes with the vignette feel for his third installment in the Big Ass Show series. There's almost always the “Jack feel” to the scenes, but the music video theme rarely rears its head. Throughout the movie, he keeps a focus on ass, and makes sure to try to catch as much of it as possible.

Scene 1 – Luscious Lopez and Erik Everhard

After cutting quickly through a bit of the scene, things land on the aptly named Luscious's Latino ass as she bends over and shakes it in a pair of turquoise hotpants with a matching bikini top while checking to make sure that it'll really help her get into the music video. Jack talks her into giving a few flashes before they head inside for her to meet Erik. Erik backs up Jack's story as Luscious shakes her thang around him before climbing onto his lap to let him massage her ass with both hands. He does a great job capturing Luscious's ass in as much of the scene as possible while never taking the segments so far that they feel like they're caught in a rut. This is a very nice opening scene, and once again shows that Robby knows ass.

Scene 2 – Jana Cova

Super cute blonde Jana starts things out in a kitchen licking the frosting on a pair of cupcakes while wearing a sexy pink bra and panty set. I can't say that I'm wild about coming back later for more, but at the same time it just might work better than trying a little storyline. This is the start of a nice solo scene.

Scene 3 – Sunny Lane and James Deen

Thankfully, the scene doesn't miss a beat as it moves into the sex, with Sunny and James having great chemistry and Robby doing a magnificent job of both capturing the action as well as Sunny's ass. The only complaint I can have about this scene is that it only lasted two positions and no longer. This is a darn hot scene, but it just seems a tad short.

Scene 4 – Jana Cova

There's some nice heat built up in this segment despite its short length, and it definitely leaves me with plenty of anticipation with the note that this isn't the last we've seen of Jana in the movie. This is another very hot little segment.

Scene 5 – Devon Lee and Eric Masterson

Eric, looking only a little less gay than James with his bottle blonde hair, shows up at Jack's place with Devon, a nicely built bottle blonde with a great ass, thinking she'd be perfect for his “show”. Jack brings out Sunny, since she's still around, and the girls check each other out quickly with Sunny giving another nice look at her ass before the guys show Devon around. Jack, of course, follows Devon around to admire her ass, and after she lets them know that she'd do anything to make the cut through the rigorous screening process, her skirt and Eric's clothes magically disappear and she finds herself riding Eric's face. This is a pretty hot scene. Once again I really would have liked more than two positions, but at least Robby picked positions that work well for showcasing Devon's ass. The tease wasn't too bad (especially the Sunny cameo), but shadows held back the upskirt teases quite a bit. Eric and Devon seemed to be into each other pretty well, but the scene as a whole just didn't seem to be quite up to the same level as Sunny and Jana's scenes preceeding it. This is a well above average scene, but lacks a bit compared to the others in the movie.

Scene 6 – Jana Cova

Jana starts out her final segment still playing with her dildo, but this time on all fours. She gives herself a good fucking, and plays to the camera nicely. By the time she's done, Jana looks like she has herself completely satisfied.

This is a nice little scene, but perhaps the weakest of Jana's. It's not weak due to her performance, but instead due to how limited this segment is. It only lasts a few minutes, and where the others mixed up a bit of the tease, here it's completely limited to one position. I couldn't help but think that Jana's portion of the Big Ass Show would be much better here if either this segment would have been combined with the previous segment or if this segment would have been a few minutes longer to let something else be built into it.

Scene 7 – Katja Kassin and Scott Nails

Katja starts things out giving a show in the shadows provided by the natural light streaming in from the banks of windows behind the fireman's pole she's working around. Jack's Big Ass Show is a darn hot release where Robby D. continues to show that he knows something few other directors have figured out when it comes to ass movies. He knows that you don't have to see how much anal action and how much you can stuff into an ass for a great ass movie. Instead, you focus on the ass through the right positions, well done camera work, and plenty of teasing with the anal action being very optional. Yes, I would have liked another position in several of the scenes, but what's there is darn hot and very nicely done. Sunny Lane was easily the winner in the movie for me, with hot sex that I didn't want to see end combined with a hilarious opening that I'm sure everybody had a lot of fun with. Jack's Big Ass Show 3 is a very enjoyable ass fetish movie with plenty of teasing, hot sex, and a few laughs. That's a combination seen way too rarely in porn, and makes Jack's Big Ass Show 3 all the more enjoyable.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. If you're a fan of female ass, this one should be well worth the money. The sex is hot and varied, and the setups are fun with plenty of tease. The technical aspects also show plenty of care, but sadly there isn't much effort put into the extras. This is a hot movie on a DVD that could have used a touch more effort overall.

Note to Digital Playground: It's great to see you putting so much effort into your technical aspects, but a little effort towards the extras would be great. Sixteen extras do matter to some people, but I'd much rather see them cut back and a bonus scene from another Digital Playground release, a behind the scenes featurette, bloopers, or extra sex. I mean, I can't believe that there weren't a few outtakes from the opening with Sunny and James, and Eric always seems to bring a laugh to the set.
