Ivy League is a hardcore gay feature that was shot on video from writer and director Toby Ross. Toby Ross made his name in the 1970s with films such as Do Me Evil and Cruisin' 57. When the video age started, Toby Ross continued making movies; however, like many directors, the quality of Toby Ross' output reduced in quality.

Ivy League, like many of Toby Ross' movies, focuses on barely legal men — this time using a college setting to highlight the cast. The story for Ivy League is that Rick (Randy Davidson) moves from California to the east coast to attend Princeton University. He ends up at a fraternity with Sydney (Rick Donovan), Baxter (Ken Colbert), Angelo (Michael Thomas), and Jonathan (Danny Connors). Ivy League shows the antics of the frat men with each other.

There isn't much to the story in Ivy League. The story only exists to propel the movie from one sex scene to another and nothing else. The lack of a story for Ivy League is disappointing, especially since the sets and costumes in the movie are rather good. It is a shame the effort that went into the sets since not attention went into the story.

If you are looking for an adult movie with young men having sex in a school setting, you may find Ivy League to your liking. If you are looking for more substance than just sex scenes and a background in your adult entertainment, sadly, Ivy League will be a waste of time.

The edition of Ivy League screened is the streaming-only edition available on TobyRoss.com. Toby Ross and BDF (Big Dik Factory) have done an acceptable job with their streaming-only edition of Ivy League. Ivy League was shot on video, and the movie is presented in the Academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 pillarboxed to 1.78:1. The image quality is, quite frankly, what you would expect from a video source. The image can be too dark at times, there is a lack of definition in the image, and the colors aren't quite right. There are glitches in the video as well. There is a TobyRoss.com bug in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Ivy League is presented with an English monaural audio track. The sound quality isn't bad with a hiss present at times. The dialog in the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times.

Toby Ross and BDF haven't included any extras for their streaming-only edition of Ivy League.

Ivy League is, quite frankly, your average shot on video mid-1980s adult movie production. The movie is a feature film; however, there is only enough story to move the movie from sex scene to sex scene. If you like the mid-to-late 1980s style of feature movies, then you will enjoy Ivy League. If you are looking for more than what you standard 1980s fare had to offer, you should give Ivy League a pass. Toby Ross and BDF (Big Dik Factory) has done an average job for a release of a shot on video production. The video quality is lacking, and the audio is good.
