Invasian 2 (Evil Angel) Review

Overall Thoughts
I, along with hordes of other porn watchers, was very impressed with the original InvAsian. Jules Jordan had lensed a classic here. Everyone and their uncle in the gonzo world had already begun to pump out the ethnic lines and more than a few starlets owe their careers more to this distraction with limited appeal lines than they do talent ot looks. Although I am a big fan of the extra-ordinary, the exotic and the other than the norm in women, I do not tend to like these ethnic series. Like I said, I like diversity. But InvAsian presented the ethnic genre done with higher production values, wonderful attention to detail in the costuming and settings - and most of all incredibly beautiful women involved in incredible hot sexual situations. Who can forget the sexy Sabrine Maui engorging herself with giant Lexington Steele? InvAsian 2 offers us another sampling of truly beautiful women. Again here, Jules spares nothing in his costuming and setting. and again here the camerawork and lighting his all slick and high-end. However, thats the problem. What we have in InvAsian 2 is just more of the same. Look at the cast:

It is a list of true gems, yes...but it is an all-too familiar list of names often seen - especially well used by Jules. Using the same crop of women and basically the same formula is just too banal here. One cannot argue the quality of his performers - and the sex scenes are well-done, but changing up the delivery system some how would have made this a great DVD. Maybe go raw and gritty, with more realism...maybe co Pro-Am with Asian unknowns...who knows what a wonderfully depraved mind like Jules could've come up with had he stretched.

What I Disliked
With such tried and true performers as is assembled here, quality looks are assured. What can't be assured is freshness of performance. Nautica sizzles with Mandingo, Roxy is always hot and Sabrine and Luci together and oiled is simply orgasmic from start to finish. However, we run into the problem of having seen these women do all this so many times before. I really found little "heat" to Brooke's scene and although Katsumi looks as fine as ever and is lit in a wonderfully beautiful way, her scene just suffers from familiarity. And although both are tremendously attractive women, neither Nyomi or Jade Hsu is known for bringing the heat on a consistent basis - and neither brings it in their respective scenes. As is, what we have is a decently lensed, very professional and glossy repeat of 2004.
