The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Celeste’s movies, the technical aspects are on the artistic side. There’s no audio from the performers, with the audio instead being limited entirely to music. The video is wonderfully presented in anamorphic widescreen, a format that sadly seems to be all but unknown to every studio other than Digital Playground. There are a few shadows, but they’re all the artistic kind that seem to be there on purpose and sometimes even enhance the sexuality of the scenes rather than interfering with them.

Music: The music is the only audio in the movie, as is normal for Celeste, and once again she nails it. The music ranges from classical, with a stringed version of the first movement from Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, for instance, to harder and darker pieces.

Menus: The main menu nicely works together a bit of animation with stills for a good first impression. As usual, however, the chapter menu is quite generic, and only lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Devon headlines this Celeste movie, which has a slightly darker feeling than many of her other movies. As always there’s no dialogue or much for setups, but a sexily artistic feeling permeates the entire movie experience.

Scene 1 - Devon and Scott Nails

Devon starts things out strutting up to Scott in black porno pumps, red fishnets, and a black dress with very small white polka dots. Scene 2 - Celeste Star

Celeste, a very nice looking brunette, starts the second scene out with her hair pulled back wearing a dark sleeveless sweater with large sliver hoop earrings. I really, really liked this scene. Celeste is very easy on the eyes, and knows very well how to put hers to use. What really made the scene for me, though, was the music. It had such a melancholy loving feel that it drew me right in, and it seemed perfectly matched for the mood and Celeste. I loved this scene.

Scene 3 - Alicia Alighotti and Scott Nails

Scene 4 - Sammie Rhodes

Intoxicated is a pretty typical Celeste movie. I know a lot of people think “pretty typical” is a bad thing, but I just can’t think that after watching several of Celeste’s movies. She’s the only director I can think of who can regularly remove all the audio from the movie and replace it with music and still draw me completely into the scenes. This movie is another visual feast, and there’s plenty to like here. I know that Devon’s first anal scene is the main draw here (yes, I selected this one for just that reason too), but there are plenty of other great scenes here. I love Celeste’s solo scene, and Charlotte and Scott’s scene blends darkness and romance extremely well. It took Celeste’s style a movie or two to get through to me, but Intoxicated is yet another Celeste movie which ended up working very well for me.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery includes about forty very nice looking snapshots and full screen photos which you can either watch at your own pace or as a three and a half minute plus photo gallery. There are also trailers for Intoxicated, Island Fever 3, Story of J, Loaded, Forbidden Tales, Pirates, and Rush, as well as series such as Jack’s Teen America, Jack’s Playground, and Virtual Sex With.... Finally, there’s contact information and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about six and a half minutes, and is done by Virgil. Robby starts things out chatting with Virgil and trying to have him give Devon a few tips for anal. Celeste has been getting some very good attention for her movies, but only showing Robby D and not her in the behind the scenes is bound to have many people questioning her involvement in the movies credited to her.

If you’re a fan of Celeste’s style or Devon, this one is definitely going to be worth your while. The movie is sexy and artistic, and the technical aspects show some great care. There’s also some nice effort put into the extras with a very fun behind the scenes featurette. This is a very nicely done DVD.
