The problem with masturbation videos is that they tend to come in one of three levels. You get the slickly produced, beautiful girls (e.g. Soloerotica) but it's MTV masturbation--it's all about the video, not the sex. Then you get the low-end amateur stuff, which look realistic but often has the god-awful video and sound, fair-looking women, or a cameraman who acts like he has Parkinson's. And then there's the broad middle-ground with okay-looking women who fake everything from their smile onward.

This is my favorite genre but I was ready to give up on it because I'm disgusted by what being sold. Until now. Intimate Moments Shared is arguably my favorite DVD now. It's like they took a checklist of everything I wanted and made it for me.

This is a new variation in AbbyWinters's "Intimate Moments" series. The difference is that we now get two girls paired up, masturbating side-by-side. Not lesbian action, more like pals who get off together. It has that slumber-party feel.

According to the introduction, the concept is simple: two girls are placed in a room with a camera that's locked into place. No cameraman, no director. They're told to masturbate to (real) orgasm the way they normally would, so it's authentic.

Video is better than most amateurs, and better than many of the slicker productions. The lighting is soft but not flat and the color is pleasant. Audio is clear. The menus and intros have folk-guitar as the music bed, but there's no annoying music during the scenes.

The girls vary nicely: some large breasts, some small, most are medium, all look real to me. All the girls are slender (some have a few extra pounds). None of them look glitzy. Some are shaved, some don't talk, some are chatterboxes. They all seem to have pleasant enough personalities. I have no idea if they're all pros, amateurs, or somewhere in-between. They all have the look of being friends or friendly with each other.

The variations in scenes are nice too. They pretty much masturbate only themselves, but some are more willing to help each other out than others (usually fondling breasts, but sometimes a few more things). There's a variety of techniquies, and an occasional vibrator, but most girls just use their fingers. A pair of them masturbate in front of a mirror.

Each set is different and looks like a real place--not just someone's spare bedroom where a sheet was tossed over a sofa.

Scenes vary in length. The first one was about 10 minutes and it seemed the girls had a lot of trouble getting over the top. Another was 5 minutes and that includes talking.

Seven scenes:

Paula & Chloe B, a large breasted girl and a medium-breasted girl. They took a while to get over the top and hardly spoke.

Miranda & Lucinda, an indian looking lady and a petite blonde.

Tarah & Shannen. Two petite brunettes. Shannen (if she's the one on the right) uses a vibe.

Mim & Liandra. Two cute brunettes with small breasts. They're the fastest, but also the chattiest.

Vanessa Y and Dee H, two pretty brunettes who do it in front of a large mirror.

Gilian & Mollie: two brunettes, one with smaller breasts and one with medium sized.

Zena & Cassy: a brunette and a cute blond. These two like some digital insersion.

Not much for "extras," because really they're just trailers for other titles from AbbyWinters. However, they also look like exactly what I want.

To sum up: I love it. If you like realistic looking female masturbation with good production values and charming Australian girls (I'm a yank so I think their accents are great), this is about as good as it gets. I usually hate seeing porn titles that end with numbers, but I hope this series gets many numbers indeed.
