If you're cynical about porn (I am), masturbation videos can be the worst. There's a scene in the movie Vista Valley PTA where Jamie Gillis pays hooker Desiree West to masturbate while he watches. She reclines on the bed and begins to diddle herself, and he sits back in a chair and jacks off. She writhes a bit and moans, and as soon as he shoots, she's up out of bed, has him up on his feet and his pants back up and hustles him out the door in about 3 seconds flat. That's how hot and into it she was. She may as well have been making a sandwich.

A lot of masturbation videos look the same way. It's not just an act, it's just a cold, calculated act. Watching women rub suntan lotion on their arms at the beach is more erotic. Yet that describes most of these things.

This is the 19th installment of the "Intimate Moments" series, which is Abby Winters's line of female masturbation videos. They set themselves apart from the norm by taking real-world pretty girls, the kind you typically see at supermarkets and coffee houses, put them in a room with a camera or two, and leave them alone. The director and crew physically leave the room and let the girl masturbate in private, in whatever way really gets her off. The result is something that looks genuine; the girls appear to be truly enjoying themselves, and the result is something you need to handle with BBQ tongs or risk buring your fingers.

Seven girls in nine videos (Zasha, Katia, Patty and Larissa each appear twice). Six videos are solo-masturbation, the other three are two-girl pairings. Among the duos, some simply have the girls masturbating next to each other, but in two scenes a bit of "help" goes on. That kind of variation is my favorite part of these series: if I'm not interested in something, someone else might be into something I do like. Some girls are chatty, some are quiet, some are loud. Some like penetration, some just rub their clits. Some are on their backs, some on their knees. One girl likes her wand-vibrator (she has it in both of her appearances). It adds to the sense of realism, and that I'm not just watching checklist porn.

Production values: As always, AW videos are bright, clean, and visually interesting to look at. Sound is very good, clear and without background noise, and there's no annoying music (except for brief intros and the DVD menu).

Final verdict: This is my favorite DVD series, bar none, and it's a pleasure to see that after 19 installments, it's still fresh and fun. If you like realistic female masturbation, this is a five-star DVD.
