What It Is:Abby Winters is an Australian-based producer for the girl-only genres. They make two lines: a lesbian series and a solo masturbation series called "Intimate Moments." This one, Alone and Intimate is #16 in latter.

Abby Winters fits into a Pro-Am twilight zone: their performers are professionals, but they don't have that glazed, glamorous and glossy that are common on Hollywood productions. Some of their girls could probably be famous porn stars with the makeup, lighting, clothes and several pounds of silicone; but what's particularly attractive is that the girls look like amateurs, like girls you meet at the office or at the mall every day. The presentation looks real, unscripted and spontaneous, like you're watching what these people would do on their day off even if there were no cameras around. If you like surreal fantasies, then this is a bitter disappointment; but if you're jaded by the cheap plastic look of most porn titles and you want something that looks real, like the girls are really cumming and really enjoying themselves, then this is porn nirvana.

Even though it's solo masturbation, there's a lot of variety here. Twelve girls in ten scenes, seven of which are truly solo, the other three are double-ups, and Blaire appears in two of those. No toys, but plenty of variety. It fascinates me to see which which girls insert fingers, which rub and grind, which are gentle and which are frantic, which play with their breasts and which ignore them. Which are talkative (if it's a double) and which are quiet. It's being a fly on the wall.

Production values: Standard Abby Winters content: bright, clean video with good color and light; the camera is usually where you want it to be; it's slickly edited but they don't try to be artsy. No annoying music, just good sound. Sometimes it's hard to hear the girls when they're speaking, but some of that is just my American ear struggling with the Aussie accent, but also the girls are simply speaking in an "intimate" level voice between themselves—they're not projecting for the camera. So while it may be a struggle to hear them, it does reinforce the idea that the girls are doing this for themselves, not to put on a show.

Final verdict: I love it. I enjoy watching women truly pleasure themselves (and not by trying on shoes). I love watching these girls, the unselfconsciousness in the camera, in trying to do nothing other than bring themselves to a climax. It's jazz in the evening. It's classy and it's cool.
