The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty good. It’s fairly clear but it does have a bit of a balance problem. This mostly rears its ugly head as traffic noise and noise from adjoining rooms, but it is a little noticeable elsewhere as well. The video is pretty good. There’s very little grain and it’s nicely lit. It has a little camera shake, but normally looks quite nice.

Music: There’s music during the tease portions, but that’s it. It’s nice, but nothing overly good or bad.

Menus: The main menu is pretty good. It has a little animation and a clip of the movie that gives a good first impression. The chapter menu is pretty standard and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

After a stint in the Navy, a college degree, and a little time as a head shrink, Mark Anthony ventured into the adult industry. After eight years in front of the camera he’s now journeying behind it and trying to put his Navy travels to use by showing off some of the beautiful women of the world. This time around he’s headed off to Brazil. He normally lets the girls start things off with a little dance in each scene before they get down and dirty.

Scene 1 - Luana Martinelli, Isis Ribiero, and Mark Anthony

Scene 2 - Kelly Santos and Carlos Rio

Scene 3 - Livia Torres and Mark Anthony

Scene 4 - Flavia and Mark Anthony

After a little sightseeing, Mark and Flavia head back to the hotel room to kick back a little in their own adult way. I’m sure that some will applaud this, but with Brazil’s STD rate all I could do was wonder if Mark would have had better luck better himself on a roulette wheel.

Scene 5 - Cristina, Luana, Lana Lima, Carlos Rio, and Mark Anthony

After heading to Rio, going out to a Brazilian barbecue, and playing on the beach, Mark and Carlos head back with the three girls. The girls start things out among themselves before letting the guys go down on two of them while the other makes her way between them. It focused way too much on the close-ups and extreme distance shots, and there were times when I wasn’t even sure who was taking on what girl. There’s some good chemistry and energy, but it just isn’t enough to take this scene too far.

Scene 6 - Malu Chanel, Jane Mayara, and Mark Anthony

Finally, Mark gets it on with Malu and Jane by a small indoor pool. They kiss a bit before heading into another room to a couch where the girls team up to suck Mark’s cock. This is an okay scene. It probably has the best chemistry of any scene in the movie, but it feels like it’s stuck in low gear. Granted, they all look like they’re having fun the entire time, but I couldn’t help but reach for the remote during this scene.

International Booty 2 is an okay porno. Once again Mark does a good job keeping things light and friendly while also bringing an ethnic feel to the movie. He has a nice mix of girls here, and if you like Brazilian women who don’t live in the middle of the rainforest I think you’re pretty much guaranteed to find one to your liking here. The chemistry varies quite a bit in the scenes, but the camera work held it back even more. It focused way too much on the penetration and the women, which hurt the chemistry in most of the scenes. At the end Mark and the girls look like they had a great time, but during the scenes I didn’t always get that feeling. International Booty 2 suffers slightly from sequel-itis, but is worth checking out if you’re really into Brazilian women and black guys.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about three and a quarter minutes with roughly five seconds per very nice looking full screen photo or snapshot. There’s also a bonus scene, a very nice autobiography of Mark Anthony, and a web link.

Bonus Scene

The bonus scene lasts about thirteen minutes, and includes one of the things Brazil’s best known for. No, it’s not aging Nazi war criminals or guys who’s shit explodes, it’s trannys. With how she-males scare off some people I can understand Mark not wanting to include this scene in the main feature, but I have to give him credit for including it here.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. Rent this one first. It doesn’t quite have the spark the original International Booty 1 did, and often felt a bit generic. The technical aspects also have a few faults, but there’s some decent effort put into the extras.

Note to Smash Pictures: Although the movie felt a little lacking here for me, it was great to see you put the effort you did into the overall DVD (especially considering that this is one of your early DVDs).
