Synopsis:
Anabolic's semi-long running series continues where recent arrivals to the adult movie scene are given sexual initiations and challenges.

Audio/Video:
The available audio track is an English 2.0 Stereo track, which is completely unrefined. There was no masking of background noise so the end result is it sounds lightly more amateur than professional. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing as it adds to the feeling that these girls are relatively new to the adult scene. All of the dialog is clear and easy to hear. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Initiations 9 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the movie. As I have come to expect from Anabolic, the picture quality is flawless here with a crystal clear picture with nary a blemish or artifact present anywhere. The color levels are true and perfectly set. This is good as a full screen picture can get.

Special Features:
As far as the extras go, this disc is rather weak containing a photo gallery that contains 21 photos on a track. Web Site contains the contact info for Anabolic video. And on the B side of the disc, there are roughly 20 previews for other Anabolic releases available.

Navigation:
There are eight chapters available from the main menu for Initiations 9 that go to scenes in the movie and one chapter that goes to a compilation of the cum shots. The eight chapters that go to the movie have a video clip from the scene that they go to. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
Initiations is a series where relatively new arrivals to the adult scene are given sexual challenges and initiations to prove their porn movie worthiness. The initiations range from the mundane, for example a blow job, to the more elaborate, for example three on one. The challenges, not all of which are passed, are usually more elaborate, for example double penetration and anal.

The biggest problem that I had with this film is the overuse of the same location for the shootings. There was plenty of variety to the sex scenes, but they were all shot at the same place. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I like the backdrop to change, it adds to the film. The sex is well done and should be enjoyed by a wide range of viewers from those who like sex with an edge to the viewers who like nastier sex.

There are some scenes that won't be as enjoyed by one side of the spectrum or by the other. For instance, viewers who like nastier sex will probably find the two blowjob only scenes to be rather tame and viewers who are more of a fan of sex with an edge may find the DPP scene over the top. This is probably not a film to bring home to your girlfriend or significant other though as she might not be too impressed with it. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with DP, A2m and DPP. For viewers who care about such things, there are no condoms used in the film.

The cast in the film is good with some really attractive women most of which interact well with their male counterparts and bring some great energy to the film. Fans of Jenna Haze may be disappointed as she doesn't seem to be at her best in this film. But other performers like Kristy Love, Judy Star, and Shyla more than make up for the lack of energy in Jenna's scene.

Parting Thoughts:
Initiations 9 is a decent feature from Anabolic that features sex that should be enjoyed by a wide audience. Viewers who require a plot or tame sex will want to look elsewhere whereas viewers who like sex with an edge to the raincoaters will get the most out of this disc.
