The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don’t think I noticed a single background noise. It’s even nicely balanced when Gina’s chatting behind the camera. The video also shows some pretty good care. It’s very nicely lit and has the hint of grain that’s so common throughout current porn. There’s a bit of fast camera movement and a little shakiness, but it doesn’t interfere with the action too much.

Music: There’s music through the tease portions of the scenes. It’s pretty typical porn music, and is also a little on the loud side.

False Advertising: The cover claims that there’s a bonus photo gallery of Gina Lynn, which I didn’t find anywhere on the DVD. It also claims that there’s both bonus footage and a behind the scenes featurette, although I could only find the behind the scenes featurette. I’m deducting a half point due to these discrepancies.

Menus: The main menu is pretty good, and lets you choose a scene based on a few stills from the cover, a bit of animation, and a small clip from the movie. The chapter menu, unfortunately, is very generic, and lets you choose a sene only based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

I Love Gina goes with the all sex format. Each scene has an “I Love Lucy” styled screen that gives a title to the scene, makes up an episode number, and lets you know who’s in the scene.

Although a part of me was a little disappointed that it wasn’t a rougher scene, it’s a very small part of me. There’s such great passion and sexuality flowing throughout this scene that it’s next to impossible for me to not love it. This is another very hot scene.

I Love Gina gives you a very good reason to. Gina’s scene with Travis is the weakest scene in the movie, and even that’s nicely above average. Gina’s scene with Jamie Huxley and Jerry is one of the best scenes with a condom I’ve seen in a porno in I don’t know how long and started the movie off at a high enough level that normally I’d end up disappointed by the next scene just because it’s so hard to keep up that kind of heat. Alexis Malone and Jean Val Jean, however, do just that. Perhaps that’s why Gina and Travis’s scene came up lacking slightly for me, just because it was too hard to keep up the momentum. Thankfully things bounce back with both Travis’s analization of Danielle Derek and Gina’s trip to the dark side with Brian Pumper and Dre Stiff. I’m always nervous going into movies directed by talent, and I will admit that the biggest problem with the entire movie was that some of the camera work seemed a little rough. That said, Gina and Travis show that there are some things that talent can do better than film school grads, as there’s a passion to I Love Gina that’s very rarely found. Whether you’re a fan of Gina Lynn or not, I Love Gina is definitely worth checking out.

A photo gallery is included for each scene, and lasts between about two and a half and two and three quarter minutes with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot. They move around a bit trying to get things right, and after a bit Gina decides that they’re going to have to settle a few things after shooting the scene. It moves on with a nice little chat with Danielle’s after her scene and a little extra footage from Gina’s scene with Travis. This is a fun behind the scenes featurette that’s only held back by it’s limitations. I was disappointed to see this only limited to three scenes, and even that seems a bit deceptive because all but roughly a minute focused on Gina’s scene with Brian and Dre.

This is a hot movie and a very nicely done DVD.
