Hustler XXX 13 reliably delivers more of what I expect from Woodman in an all-sex series. The female cast is quite agreeable, the sex is hard, and it's all done with practised competence, so on a basic level it's often exciting enough. But also, as expected, the set-ups vary little, the guys enter every scene ready to go and fuck like automatons for the most part. I'd like to see a little bit more interaction between the performers, rather than purely Woodman's usual groping sessions before the sex starts. These people come in, bang the crap out of each other and yet have little or nothing to say to each other - what are the odds on Pierre injecting a little more warmth or personality into the sex? Even just giving more of a sense of why these people might have the horn for each other, rather than simply being there to fuck under orders, would be a welcome, if unlikely, development.

DVD Comments
The picture quality is a little bit better on XXX 13 than on some of Woodman's Hustler stuff that I've seen, a little bit brighter. There's no real issue with sound either. The tidy menus offer chapter access, with a good breakdown of each scene into sub-chapters, and a fairly standard extras selection - a Pierre Woodman interview, a photo gallery and a batch of trailers for Hustler's proliferation of series.
