Initial Expectations: Celeste's movies are a bit hit or miss with me, but she's had some nice hits. With Jesse Jane and Shay Jordan in this one I can't help but really look forward to it!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Celeste movies and Digital Playground, the audio is only music with nothing from the performers and plenty of effort put into the video. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen, which looks great. It has a slightly washed and artistic look, but it never looks sloppy. The video is also very nicely lit and there's no unusual camera motion to interfere with the action.

Music: The music is fantastic. It has a very sexy and often unpornlike feel to it, and often matches the scenes perfectly. There was a lot of the music here that was so good and so sexy that I wish Digital Playground would have included it as a CD along with the DVD.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a bit of the boxcover and a few stills with a little minor animation for a very good first impression. The chapter menu is pretty standard for Digital Playground and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number in addition to listing the name of each girl in her first chapter.

The Feature

As usual with Celeste movies, Hush is about style and sexuality. There's nothing close to a plot throughout the movie, but a sexy feeling remains to take you from scene to scene.

Scene 1 – Jesse Jane and Jean Val Jean

Blonde Jesse starts the scene out in a black and silver bra and panties with some very sexy sliver and black shoes as Jean retrieves a bottle of while wine and a pair of glasses from the cooler. Scene 2 – Dragon Lily and Scott Nails

At the same time, the scene is held back by being way too limited sexually. The scene's roughly twenty minutes long, but there's only one position for fucking! Yes, it is both on the counter and standing, but it's still Scott taking Dragon Lilly from behind with very few distance shots where you can see some real differences. This would have been a much stronger scene if it had been cut back to around twelve minutes.

Scene 3 – Addison Rose and Jesse Jane

Brunette Addison starts out the third scene behind a wall of water in a skimpy little animal print bikini with a gold vibe to keep her company. This is a nicely done scene that's very easy on the eyes.

Scene 4 – Jesse Jane and Scott Nails

Jesse returns for the next scene wearing the same sexy black shoes and diving into a pool wearing a zebra print suit only to be followed by Scott soon after. They move to the shower where they can kiss and run their hands around each other, with Scott soon after exploring Jesse's great body with a shower head and his mouth. Jesse sees how much of his cock she can fit into her mouth in return before seeing how much of his cock her pussy can take as he slams it into her from behind. This scene takes Hush right back to greatness. I love the opening pool sequence, and it moves into the shower sequence so nicely that I couldn't help but be a little in awe. Yes, the passion between the performers comes through quite well without the vocals again and I love the camera angles and editing. If all that isn't enough, the facial and Jesse's handling of it helps the scene to end at the same high point as it started with. I really enjoyed this scene.

Scene 5 – Shay Jordan and Jean Val Jean

Jean sits on a couch dressed all in black and enjoying a glass of wine as smoking hot Shay gives him a little show wearing a black bra and panties with a short skirt. Scene 7 – Daisy Marie and Marco Banderas

Daisy starts out the penultimate scene flopping down on a white bed in front of a monstrous painting wearing a turquoise dress with a black belt, sexy bra, panties, and shoes. The music fits the scene perfectly, and the action flows nicely. The scene does feel a touch long, but with how great the visuals and the passion between Daisy and Marco are I just can't get down on the scene for giving what might be just a touch too much. I really love this scene!

Scene 8 – Jesse Jane and Rick Patrick

Jesse starts out the final scene running her hand around a poor excuse for a beer and unzipping her fake fur vest to let the girls breath before running her mouth around the beer bottle to tease bartender Rick. That reason is the tease. Jesse works it amazingly well teasing Scott behind the bar and the oral action seems to just be a slight extension of it. This is yet another smoking hot and extremely enjoyable scene.

Hush is an unbelievably sexy movie, and quite possibly the best Celeste movie so far. It succeeds better than its predecessors for a couple reasons. The first, and perhaps biggest, is that it's much longer. Rather than being around an hour and a half it's pushing two and a half which lets the scenes relax a little rather than rushing through things. The second is the talent. There's fantastic chemistry in each scene and Jesse Jane in four of the seven scenes. When you're working with just video and music, the chemistry can easily get lost and it takes some skilled performers to draw me in (and having a good eye behind the camera to capture that chemistry as well as possible doesn't hurt anything). Here it all works together amazingly well. Yes, Hush stumbles a little a couple times early in the movie, but it also recovers extremely well without losing it again. Dragon Lily's scene with Scott Nails might be the weakest here due to only having one position, but it's a very tough call for which is best. I automatically want to go for one of Jesse Jane's four scenes, but at the same time Daisy Marie and Marco Banderas's scene was such a wonderfully enjoyable passionate romp that it easily holds its own against Jesse's scenes. Hush is a gorgeous piece of passion that kept me in awe with a smile on my face throughout almost the entire movie.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery can be viewed either manually or as part of a slide show lasting just under four minutes with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot. The behind the scenes featurette lasts about ten minutes. Jesse starts things out showing a bit of her workout before a few quick moments with Jean Val Jean, Daisy, and Marco Banderas passing through. There's a little chat between Charlie Laine and Jesse about food before a few words with Jean Val Jean. Jesse dives into the pool a few times before a little more fun with Jean Val Jean and Robby helping Jean and Shay set up the pop shot. Jesse and Charlie finish things up and let Robby know just how they feel about the glass toys. This is an enjoyable behind the scenes featurette. There's some fun celebrity animation to guide it along and a nice mix of the cast. As usual with Celeste's movies, my only real complaint is that Celeste seems to be nowhere around and Robby D. ends up directing the movie instead.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. This one's well worth the money. The sex does a fantastic job blending sex and art, and the technical aspects are nicely done as well. There's even a bit of effort put into the extras, which is always nice to see. This is a very well done DVD.

Note to Digital Playground: It wouldn't hurt to have Celeste appear in her behind the scenes a bit rather than showing Robby D. directing all the action.
