Initial Expectations: Naughty America can put out some fun movies, but their DVD authoring shows so little care that I'm having a hard time expecting much out of them anymore.

Initial Reaction: The movie's charming enough to help it past many of the overall DVD's weaknesses.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is pretty clear but the balance varies noticeably throughout the movie. The video is presented in the full frame format, but has a bit of noticeable pixelation. The camera work is pretty smooth, but also very basic.

Music: None

Disc Complaints: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Naughty America. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie, which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie, each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. Needless to say, this makes the DVD extremely hard to navigate. In the year and a half or so I've been checking Naughty America's movies out they've made no changes to address the poor authoring on their DVDs, but after talking with them at the Erotica LA show it looks like that may change in the future. Hopefully soon this area will point out how these limitations are no longer there rather than how they hold back the overall DVD.

Menus: The main menu is very unremarkable and just gives a still with each of the girls and the choices. The chapter menu is pretty good, and lets you choose a scene based on a still of each scene with the name of the girl in the scene.

The Feature

Housewife 101 keeps a fairly simple setup. Each scene is shot in the POV style and starts out with the wife wanting a little talk. Maybe you're the hubby or maybe you're the man who can satisfy her in ways that her husband can't. Regardless, there's going to be a little tease before getting to the action.

Scene 1 – Eva Angelina and a guy

Hot brunette Eva's broken out her black lingerie, stockings, and shoes while her hubby and “your” wife are away at work. She talks dirty as she puts on a little show stripping down and sucking “your” cock. This is a hot scene that definitely starts the movie off on the right foot. Even with that problem, this is a hot scene that's bound to get things stirring down below.

Scene 2 – Jenaveve Jolie and Marco Banderas

Smoking hot Jenaveve starts her scene out laying back on the couch in a black dress and wedges working herself over with a toy when she notices that “you” are watching her as much as doing the yardwork she hired “you” for. She's surprised, but invites “you” in talking about how lonely and horny she's been with her husband away an extra day or two on business. Scene 3 – Roxy DeVille and a guy

Dark haired Roxy starts her scene out in a grey and black striped sleeveless shirt, a short denim skirt, pink panties and heels, and a fugly nose ring. She talks about how her hubby knows about “you” and her as well as the upcoming trip together but she doesn't care. This scene might be the weakest in the movie, but it's still well worth checking out.

Scene 4 – Kelly Kline and a guy

There may not be anything overly special about this scene, but it comes off as being darn good and natural and left me looking forward to seeing more of Kelly in the future.

Scene 5 – Kayla Quinn and a guy

Kayla starts her scene out in a nice striped skirt with a black skirt and dress boots pissed that “you” took the wife on vacation and give her gifts while she's the one who'll go down on “you” in the theater, on the plane, in the bus, or in the mall dressing room. This is a great scene. Kayla plays the moods great and there's just a touch of grudgefuck to the scene that makes it all the hotter. The action has a slight feeling of naughtiness while never getting nasty with Kayla putting out some great energy and vocals. The only thing that holds the scene back is the “pussy eating”, which always feels hokey to me in POV, and the audio balance, which varies a bit throughout the scene. This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie and ends the movie on a very high note.

Housewife 1 on 1 7 is a surprisingly enjoyable release. There's a very nice variety to the setups for the scenes that are helped out even more by how well the girls play into them. The action never gets too hard, but that's not a bad thing really as it makes for a movie that almost anybody can relate to. The sex is also nicely consistent with the girls playing to the camera very well. Eva is probably the best in the movie at playing to the camera, and while the others also do a very good job Roxy comes out at the weakest with a performance that feels a bit forced. The other problem with the movie that stood out was the camera work in Eva's scene, which fell a bit short and actually showed the guy. That's a fairly minor complaint here, as the rest of the movie is very enjoyable and was hard to walk away from. Housewife 1 on 1 7 isn't anything wildly original, but it has a very nice sense of enjoyment that helps it end up as a very nice movie.

The Extra Stuff

As usual, there's just a fairly poor looking still showing the many series Naughty America offers on their website. It's far from impressive.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Naughty America’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $27 with most stores offering them under $20. If you want lighter POV action, this one may very well be worth picking up. The setups are nicely done and the action's normally well captured. The technical aspects are pretty average, and sadly there's no effort put into the extras. Even with those limitations, the movie's charm comes through and left me thinking about it rather than the limitations of the overall DVD. This is a pretty good release that could have been a great release with a little effort into the overall product.

Note to Naughty America: I hope your DVDs soon end up as charming as your movies often are.
