Initial Expectations: Hot Showers 8 was okay. I’m not expecting much different here.

Initial Reaction: It’s pretty good, but could use a bit more variety.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants fairly soft and pretty all girl action

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants nastier all girl action or a lot of variety

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Hustler’s movies, the technical aspects are very good. The audio is very clear and well balanced, although some of it is dubbed. The video is also very good. There’s a couple shadows that interfere, but that’s about it for problems with the video.

Music: The music has a slightly techno feel, but it’s only there for the start and end of the scene. This is an interesting way to do it, and I think it works great here.

Menus: The menus are nicely animated. The main menu has a simple feel to it, but gives a good first impression. The chapter menu is pretty standard, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene. After you make your selection, you’re given another menu that lets you choose where in the scene you want to go. It’s very nicely done, and shows some definite care.

The Feature: Hot Showers is an all girl series that’s spun off from the Barely Legal series, which is also done by Hustler and Clive McLean. There’s still plenty of hot, young, and fresh girls, but the focus here is showers. Each scene starts with a small lead-in to a shower, and of course the girls end up having sex in and around the shower.

Austin O’Reilly and Nikki start things off in Blonde on Blonde, where Austin finds Nikki off diddling herself in a jacuzzi tub. Austin pees in the toilet before coming over to help Nikki. They take their time working each other over, first rubbing each other in the tub, then moving on to work each other over with tongue and fingers, and finally moving out of the tub to finish things up with a little more tongue and finger action and some sixty-nining. It’s a pretty good scene. The energy isn’t way over the top, but the girls really look to be into each other. They seem to be trying to keep things very soft here, which held the scene back slightly for me, but as pretty and artistic all girl action it’s pretty darn good.

Mia Fox and Kitty hook up in Think Pink next. I’m assuming (knowing full well that I’m making as ass of U and me), that Mia starts out showering by herself when Oriental (or perhaps Polynesian) Kitty shows up to also take a shower. Mia invites her to shower with her, which Kitty says is her first time. Mia shuts off the shower so she can have sex with her, and even lets Kitty pee in the shower before having her lay down so she can work on Kitty’s triply-pierced pussy and suck her toes. Mia works her up to four fingers, and doesn’t leave much doubt as to whether Kitty could take the fist or not, before turning around for Kitty to work on her with her tongue, fingers, and a clear dildo. It’s a pretty good scene, although it ends feeling like there’s still quite a bit more to go. The chemistry also comes and goes throughout the scene, but there’s also a fun feel to some of the scene that helps make up for it.

Kitsch Kisses pairs Boo with Trinity in a photo shoot with Clive McLean before heading to the shower to wash up. Boo starts things off with a little kiss before getting Trinity to go down on her. After a little tongue and finger action in a couple positions, Boo returns the favor and even gives Trinity a treat with the dildo she keeps in her purse. It’s a very slow scene that didn’t really do anything for me. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Boo in the past, and although she looks like she’s enjoying herself here, the scene is so soft and laid back that it didn’t do anything for me at all.

In A. D. Delight, Becky and Jordan work together on a lingerie commercial and work on discovering what is sexy together in the shower where the commercial takes place. They work on each other as they undress, and take turns focusing on each other with tongue and fingers. They finish things up sixty-nining and kissing with the action actually feeling like it’s come to a decent finish. It’s another very tame scene, but had a fun feel to much of it that kept me going.

Britney Skye finishes things up with Annabelle in There’s Always a First Time. Britney starts off talking with Annabelle while in the bathtub about breaking up with her boyfriend and when Annabelle tells her that she likes both boys and girls. When Britney sounds interested she offers to teach her a thing or two. Britney works Annabelle over with her tongue and fingers before letting Annabelle fuck her with her jackrabbit style vibe. It’s a pretty hot scene with nice energy and great chemistry, but once again it’s cut off feeling like there’s a lot to go yet. This might even be the worst cut off of the scenes.

Hot Showers 9 is pretty good for a tame all-girl movie. The setups do a nice job of starting each scene with a different feel from each other, although the sex can get a little repetitive do to all of the scenes having a similar feel and structure. Every scene is between only two girls, and normally goes from girl 1 working over girl 2 naturally, switching, and then possibly working a toy into their play. There’s barely any rimming, anal, or toe-ing, no strap-ons, and nothing to really differentiate between the scenes. Heck, it’s even the same toy in two of the scenes! You can get away with that with a string of extremely hot scenes, but the scenes here are tame enough and falter enough that I found myself feeling the repetition several times. The bigger problem is that most of the scenes feel like they are cut off with quite a bit more to go, which always annoys me. That isn’t to say that Hot Showers 9 is bad. There’s plenty of good stuff here, since a few of the girls really seem into each other and some of the scenes have a really fun feel to them. The first two scenes really stand out this way, as does the fourth scene with Becky and Jordan. Hot Showers 9 has a few flaws, but is still good enough to check out if you like all girl action.

Extras: The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with six seconds per very nice looking photo. Trailers are included for Barely Legal 31, Asian Fever 9, Young Sluts, Inc. 8, Young Latin Girls 2, Campus Confessions, and Young Girls Fantasies. There’s also a cast list by scene, website information, phone sex commercials, and featurettes.

The first featurette is an interview with Clive McLean that lasts about five minutes. He talks about how he directs and compares it to shooting sporting clays as well as talking about how his previous experience as a photographer has helped him. It’s a good featurette, and blends plenty of T&A with a little behind the scenes and a few interviews.

Finally, there’s about a five minute behind the scenes featurette. Due to the short length of the featurette, it concentrates on one scene rather than trying to capture the shooting of all the scenes as well as what’s going on behind the scenes. In this case, it mostly concentrates on the scene between Britney and Annabelle. McLean’s experience as a still photographer really shows here, as he’s very particular about how he wants the girls positioned for the still photos they’re taking. He also jokes with them a bit as he positions them, and shows a nice love of his work. It’s a short featurette, but nicely done.

Overall: Currently, the Hot Showers series can be found online for between $18 and $30 with most stores offering them for around $20. This is a bit of a one-trick pony, so you might want to rent something from this series before buying this one. If you like it, odds are you’ll like this as well. The sex is normally fairly tame, but the technical aspects are very good and there’s some nice extras as well.

Note to Hustler: You’ve got a good start with this series, but a little more variety would be great. How about something as simple as a group scene?
