The Short Story

Initial Expectations: This is IFG’s first release in North America, and Smash seems very proud of it. Since Smash has really been impressing me lately, I can’t help going into this one with anything less that very high expectations (and of course, the female cast here doesn’t hurt those expectations either).

Initial Reaction: It’s very different, and definitely worked for me!

Who Should Watch It : Fans of very artistic porn such as Tanya Hyde and the Dark Brothers’ work.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting things straightforward and laid back

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and nicely dubbed in English, and I have no reason to doubt that there’s any different for the other languages the movie is available with. The video is also very nicely done. It’s nicely lit, and although there’s a little grain it helps with the artistic feel of the movie. There’s some artistic angles, and my only complaint with the video and camera work is that there are a couple places where the cameraman shows up.

Music: The music has a techno feel which works very well for the feature. It varies between being nicely balanced with the audio and a little loud.

Menus: The menus are nicely done. The main menu has some nice animation and gives a very good first impression while letting you know that this isn’t going to be your average porno. The chapter menu is simple but slow and lets you choose a scene based on a description or title for the scene and a small clip. My only complaint with the menus is that it seems to take forever to get to the main menu.

The Feature

Little Red Riding Hood (Stacy Silver) isn’t content being in all of the children’s books out there and thinks it’s time to be a big time movie star. She knows it isn’t going to be easy, and sets out across the Hell of Fairy Tale Land to get there. It’s going to take a lot of sex, but that isn’t going to stand in her way.

Scene 1 - Anna Nova, Sylvia Lancome, and Nacho Vidal

When Nacho, a.k.a. “The Wolf” calls in, he’s drugged and taken away by nurses Anna and Sylvia. When they get into the back room, Sylvia goes right to work stroking and sucking Nacho while Anna diddles herself and watches them. Anna joins in when Sylvia invites her to, and helps things out a little more by giving him some titty fucking and rolling onto her back for some submissive skull fucking. Sylvia gives Anna a little tongue and finger action while Nacho fucks her face before letting Anna have a little mish and doggie action. After the girls team up for a little more cocksucking for Nacho, Sylvia takes it from behind and missionary style before fucking Anna’s ass reverse cowgirl style with a strap-on. This is an excellent scene and definitely starts the movie on a high note. There’s great energy as well as plenty of chemistry. The scene keeps things moving very nicely, and it never seems to drag in the least. Most importantly, it manages to keep the chemistry going while keeping a very artistic feel. This was a very hot scene.

Scene 2 - Stacy Silver, Carmen Vera, Bamboo, Ramon Guevara, and two other guys

Stacy gets a lesson from schoolmistress Bamboo in the second scene. After reading a few lines, Bamboo has Stacy suck the cock of one of the guys in front of the class. She calls Ramon up next so she can get a little cocksucking as well before calling up Carmen and another guy. Bamboo has Ramon fuck her from behind while Stacy takes it missionary style from her partner before rearranging everybody for a little more oral action. Bamboo keeps rearranging to make it two threesomes rather than three couples and has Stacy take it from behind while she sucks Stacy’s tits. Carmen takes it from behind as well, and Bamboo joins her for a little reverse cowgirl anal while Stacy gets in a little anal doggie. Bamboo kicks things up another notch taking a DP in both cowgirls before finishing things with a facial and a pop on her tits. Finally, the three girls team up on the last guy until he pops on Stacy and Carmen’s face.

This is another very hot scene. I love how Bamboo keeps mixing things up as well as her dominant attitude as the schoolmistress. It helps give the scene a more unique feel than many of the scenes like it, while also giving it plenty of attitude and nastiness. There’s also some nice chemistry and energy which finishes off the combination that makes this another great scene.

Scene 3 - Stacy Silver and Torbe

Back in the trailer park, Torbe decides to take Stacy away from the dishes to give her tips on what she’s going to have to do to make it as a big time actress. Torbe has Stacy start sucking his cock from the side before she gets down on her knees. She gives him some great eyes and plenty of tongue as she sucks him before climbing up to ride him first in cowgirl and then in reverse cowgirl. Stacy turns around and lets Torbe have a piece of her ass in doggie and reverse cowgirl before sucking him to a facial.

This is another nice and different scene. It does a great job of keeping a trailer trash feel to it, which adds some nice nastiness to it. Stacy puts in some very good energy and keeps things going well as Torbe plays the part of the fat slob getting anything he can to the max. This is another very hot scene.

Scene 4 - Michelle Wild, Stacy Silver, and Andrea Moranti

Michelle starts things out giving Andrea a hummer as he relaxes in a love swing. She motions for Stacy to join her before having Andrea fuck her from behind and in reverse cowgirl while she plays with Stacy. They go back for a little more oral with Andrea eating Stacy from behind and Michelle in the swing while Stacy sucks his cock before Andrea fucks Stacy from behind as she plays with Michelle. Stacy keeps it going taking it in the ass in both cowgirls before switching back and forth with Michelle fucking Andrea in both cowgirl and reverse cowgirl. Michelle also spoons Andrea a little before the girls share a facial.

This scene worked for me every bit as well as its predecessors. There’s plenty of chemistry, energy, and an artistic eye, and I love how they had Stacy join in with Michelle and Andrea. The swing and cramped location of the hallway is used very well, and the scene balances very nicely between Michelle and Stacy. This is a great scene.

Scene 5 - Sophie Evans, Stacy Silver, Ian Scott, and plenty of other guys

Stacy journeys to see Snow White (Sophie) just as the butcher (Ian) shows up with the two little pigs that he didn’t cut up. Stacy and Ian start things out teaming up to eat Sophie before she lets them go off to the foot of the bed as she takes on the two little pigs orally. Ian eats Stacy from behind before fucking her while Sophie takes a pig at each end, letting them fuck her first in doggie and then cowgirl style. Stacy and Sophie keep things going with their partners, with Sophie keeping things nice and nasty on the bed while Stacy and Ian move things along at the foot of the bed. Sophie doesn’t bother with any solo anal, and lets the pigs go right to double penetrating her while Stacy lets Ian have his way with her ass in a few positions. Finally, Stacy takes a facial from Ian while Sophie takes a double facial from the pigs.

This is yet another very hot scene. Once again it has plenty of chemistry, energy, and a great balance. I wasn’t as taken with Sophie as I usually am, and I think it’s probably due to the blonde wig she had on. I think Sophie is one of the most sultry ladies in adult films right now, and the wig just got in the way for me. Stacy keeps things going every bit as well as she did before, and never seems to miss a beat. It’s a great scene as is, but I would have liked to have seen a little more of Sophie as well as a little of Sophie and Stacy getting it on without the guys.

Scene 6 - Michelle Wild, Lea De Mae, Malena, Bibian Norani, Greg Centauro, Denis Marti, Ian Scott,

Malena and Bibian start the final scene off in the wrestling ring taking on a string of guys. After they start things off, Michelle and Lea come in from the audience to join them, along with several other guys. They suck and stroke the guys down the line and then move off to the side to take the guys on with more than just their mouth. Lea starts things out with a little reverse cowgirl action before giving Michelle her turn. They mix it up changing guys with a little missionary and cowgirl. Michelle kicks things up a notch with a double penetration and a little anal missionary, while Lea takes a little reverse cowgirl anal. They finish things up with facials all around, while Malena and Bibian collect cum from the guys they work on in a small dish.

This is an okay scene, and the only scene which didn’t work that well for me out of the entire movie. As always, Lea and Michelle are great, but the feel of the scene couldn’t keep my attention. There seemed like there was too much going on all the time, and I always felt like I was missing something (such as what happened to all the cum Malena and Bibian collected?). There’s a great bukkake start to this scene, but it didn’t feel like it went all the way and fell short for me.

Hot Rats is a very unique adult film. It’s definitely not for everybody, but I really enjoyed it because I got a little feel of The Dark Brothers and Tanya Hyde while watching it due to some of the artistic leanings. The camera work is very well done, and it gives a very nice mix of angles. The unique feeling of the movie is helped some by the editing, as the style changes slightly as the movie goes on. It keeps the European feel with lots of anal, double penetrations, and sexy outfits, as well as a gorgeous cast. Stacy Silver is amazing in the lead, and Michelle Wild does her normal great job as well. The only thing that didn’t really work for me was the final scene, and even that I know many people will enjoy if for no other reason than for having a team up with European greats Lea De Mae and Michelle Wild. Hot Rats might not be for everybody, but it definitely worked for me and has me eager to see more from both Narcis Bosch and IFG.

The Extra Stuff

IFG / Smash has included a second disc which is completely devoted to extras. Bios are included for Stacy Silver, Lea De Mae, Michelle Wild, Bamboo, and Greg Centauro, each of which includes a little personal information, a photo, and a little industry info about the person. Two photo gallery sections are included. The first is broken up by girl and lets you choose a gallery for Stacy Silver, Michelle Wild, or Sophie Evans, as well as galleries for three scenes from the movie. Most of these galleries last well under a minute. The second gallery is broken up by scene in the movie, and normally last between thirty seconds and two minutes. In each case, there’s some very nice looking snapshots and full screen photos. There’s also a trailer for the movie, interviews, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The interview featurette lasts about six and a half minutes, and nicely identifies the stars as they take the screen. They talk about their favorite children’s stories, their favorite positions, and what happened to Stacy Silver. It features quite a few cast members and has a real and natural feel. It’s a very nice little featurette, and a good addition to the release.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about nineteen minutes and is hosted by Dr. Cravin. It’s set up like a cheesy late night horror movie where Dr. Cravin introduces the lost reels of footage found in an abandoned hospital / sanitarium. It plays quite a bit to the creepiness of the locations and has lots of fun cast interviews mixed with shooting the movie. The cast is all nicely identified and they do a great job of playing towards the mysterious, creepy feel of the location. It’s a very different feeling behind the scenes featurette, and although it didn’t always work, I really enjoyed the originality of it.

There’s not a lot more extras here than you’d find on many of the bigger single disc releases, but a second disc appears to be needed for them due to the space taken up by making the release work for several different languages through dubbing or subtitles. I have to give IFG a lot of credit for including the second disc here, as I think most other companies would have just cut things back to fit on one DVD. Hopefully in the future they’ll include even more on the second DVD, although there is some very nice effort put into what’s here now.

The Bottom Line:

This is the first of IFG’s movies to be released by Smash, and it can currently be found online for between $19 and $25 with most stores offering it near the low end. If this sounds like your kinda thing, don’t even bother renting this one. Just go out and buy it. The sex is hot, the technical aspects are nicely done, and there’s some decent effort put towards the extras. This is a very nice opening release from IFG.

Note to Smash Pictures / IGF: Thank you for putting the care into this set that you have. I know a lot of other companies would have just let things end with the first DVD and ignored the extras you included on the second disc. You have a fully European cast here that includes many people some of us might not be familiar with, so a cast listing by scene would be a great addition to your releases. Also, since you’re brand new to North America and it looks like there’s plenty of room to spare on the second DVD, a bonus scene or two from your other releases would make a great addition. For a first outing, however, this is a very nice looking release.
