The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Rodney Moore can make some very good scenes, but he also has a tendency to focus on oral action more than I care for. I can't say that hairy girls have done much for me in the past, but there's a chance that with the fun spirit of Rodney's movies he'll be able to get me past it. I'm curious about this one, but also a little apprehensive.

Initial Reaction: It didn't win me over to the side of the unshaven, but it struck me as a movie that should be a real winner for fans of hairy girls.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of girls who don't know how to work a razor

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks the razor is a good invention or who wants full sex scenes in over half of the movie

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. Rodney has a strong reality style to his movies, which means that there are a fair amount of background nosies from the surroundings. They're minimized since he appears to do everything himself, and the background noises do add a bit to the charm of his movies. The audio balance varies a bit throughout the movie, with Rodney often coming across a bit louder than the others and the others sometimes being a little hard to understand. The video is okay. It's decently lit and has a touch of grain. There's a bit of camera movement, but nothing that's beyond the average camera motion for POV porn shot by the performer.

Disc Complaints: The authoring on this DVD leaves plenty to be desired. To start with, there’s no time stamp which always makes navigating a DVD harder for those who choose to do so. At least Rodney made up for this somewhat by including a shitload of chapter breaks. Also, each scene gets its own title, which makes navigating the movie much harder if you want to skip past a scene. Rather than just using your remote to tell your DVD player you want to go ahead something like twenty minutes, you have to skip past it scene by scene or go back through the menu. If somebody picked up a mainstream DVD like this, they’d probably make fun of how poorly it was done. There’s no reason that just because it’s an adult DVD you shouldn’t put the care into your product it deserves.

Menus: The main menu is extremely simple, and just gives you a choice between the movie and the chapter menu over a shot of the boxcover. The chapter menu at least shows a bit of care, and lets you choose a scene based on a photo of each girl and their name.

The Feature

Scene 2 – Ember and Katrina

Scene 3 – Leah Stevenson and Rodney Moore

Horny Hairy Girls 22 is one of those movies that really defines the line for subjective and objective reviewing. Subjectively, this movie did very little for me. I'm not into hairy girls, and I really don't care for how few actual fuck scenes seem to be in Rodney's movies. I do like his setups and think he does a nice job with the POV aspect, but the overall subject of the movie just doesn't do anything for me. Objectively, I can't help but recommend this one to fans of hairy girls. Like I said, most of the movie is well done, it's just that it's done on a subject which does nothing for me. If you like hairy girls and the goth look, there's going to be a lot of stuff here for you, and I can't think of anybody who's going to deliver the hairy aspect as well as Rodney does here. Horny Hairy Girls 22 didn't really do anything for me, but that doesn't mean that it isn't very well done for the fetish it's concentrating on.

Currently, many of Rodney Moore’s DVDs can be found online for between about $17 and $22. The sex is well done, but the hairy aspect did absolutely nothing for me, so I'm balancing out the subjective sex rating (1 out of 5) with the objective sex rating (4 out of 5). The technical aspects are pretty average, but sadly there's absolutely no effort put into the extras. This is a bare bones DVD that focuses nicely on the hairy fetish.

Note to Rodney Moore: Although it didn't do anything for me, you should really have a winner on your hands for fans of hairy girls. I really wish you'd put a little more effort into your extras, as even a shorter bonus scene or some extra footage would have really helped this one out. You have great personality to your movies, so an extra interview with a girl or two would also be great.
