The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Beaver Ranch is a new company that I haven’t seen much from. I’m going in with a fairly open mind.

Initial Reaction: It’s all over the place, but there are a couple hot scenes.

Who Should Watch It : Bianca Pureheart fans and anybody wanting older guys with younger girls

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting well done camera work and consistent technical aspects

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects leave plenty to be desired. The audio is okay, but there’s some obvious dubbing and the level changes from scene to scene. There’s also some crackling and scratchiness to the audio that interfered for me and a couple background noises and comments from offscreen. The video is nicely lit, but the cameraman moves around so much that I couldn’t help but wonder if he was wearing roller skates. The camera also pokes into the field of view a few times and there’s some fairly minor grain.

Music: Some scenes have some cheesy porn music and some don’t have any music. When there is music, it’s nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The main menu has a bit of animation that gives it a decent first impression. The chapter menu seems cheesy, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Home Wreckers goes with a simple idea, people cheating on their spouses. It might be a dirty old man with a young girls or a couple married people hooking up when their spouses aren’t around. The scenes are all unrelated and all have a small lead-in to setup the scene.

Scene 1 - Eve Laurence and Jim Beem

When Jim gets done working out in the driveway and heads for the shower, he finds his daughter’s friend Eve, a brunette who apparently had two decommissioned Goodyear blimps put in her chest, already there. She invites him in to join her, and after he admires her bolt-ons drops down to mouth his manhood. Jim takes her up on the suggestion for him to fuck her in the bed he and his wife sleeps in, and after she rides him cowgirl style rolls over and fucks her in missionary. This is a fairly average scene. I’ll admit that Eve’s implants definitely distracted me, but her ass made up for it. Although she frequently looks like she’s into the sex, she seems like she’s being pushed to come out with the cheesy lines. The cheesy lines make her seem fake, and the scenes definitely improved when Eve stuck to moaning. I can’t help but think that Eve has some great potential, but whoever convinced her to get tits that big deserves to have a thousand papercuts on their privates.

Scene 2 - Haley Page and Rod Fontana

When Rod comes home to find babysitter Haley studying biology so she doesn’t fail the human sexuality part of the class, he decides to give her a little tutoring. Scene 3 - Liza Harper and Dino Bravo

Scene 4 - Bianca Pureheart and Kevin M.

This is a pretty good scene. Bianca looks great, and does a great job playing the dumb little girl as well as doing a great job sexually with some very nice energy and vocals. The only thing that didn’t work for me was that somebody seemed to be into smeared makeup like Bianca was crying like crazy. It’s still a hot scene, but without the smeared makeup it would have been better.

Scene 5 - Gen Padova, Bianca Pureheart, Lain, and Rod Fontana

Redheaded Gen isn’t happy when she finds bottle blondes Lain and Bianca sitting around in their pajamas watching porn rather than going to class. When maintenance man Rod shows up, he sees that the girls are about to get it on as Bianca talks Lain into trying some of the girl - girl stuff going on in the movie. This is an above average scene. I love the start of the scene with Bianca tempting Lain into Sapphic pleasures, and Rod watching only made it hotter. Unfortunately, the scene goes downhill once Rod and Gen join in. To start with, I was really disappointed that Gen didn’t join in more because she normally does a great job. Rod seems to handle the girls good, but once again the camera work holds the scene back. Once Rod joined in the cameraman seemed like he was overwhelmed and never quite sure of what he should be capturing. This gives the scene a convoluted feel, and the pacing of the scene didn’t help things since it seemed like the girls were constantly changing positions. There’s nice chemistry between Rod and the girls, but this scene collapsed under its own weight.

Home Wreckers is a decent porno. There’s a nice variation to the performers looks and I also like how they mix in the older couple of Dino and Liza. The setups are nicely varied, but they aren’t the most consistent in the “home wrecker” theme of the movie. Bianca Pureheart is easily the most impressive thing in the movie, and easily shows why she’s the only girl to appear in two scenes. I think the movie would have been better if there was a scene between Bianca’s scenes so that she could really shine twice rather than having it continue from one scene to the next, but with the job she does I really can’t complain. The biggest problems with the movie is the technical aspects and camera work. The audio definitely has a few distractions with the changing level, and they stand out all the more with the camera motion. Not only does the camera move around a lot it also chooses some funky places to focus. There’s a few times when although the cast is doing a great job the cameraman makes the movie very hard to watch without the remote in your hand. Home Wreckers is an above average movie that would have been even better with a more competent camera crew.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, Beaver Ranch DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $20 with very few stores offering them. This one might be worth it for some at the low end. The sex ranges from average to very hot, and I can see it having some nice replay value for some people. The technical aspects, however, are a bit weak and inconsistent, and there’s virtually no effort put into the extras.

Note to Beaver Ranch: Full credits can be a good thing since many people follow directors (and if they don’t I have yet to find anybody who hates seeing a director’s name listed onscreen for a couple seconds). A little effort towards extras would also be a good thing.
