This reviewer needs to start out by stating that despite this release being called the 1984 shot on video adult movie Hollywood Confidential: Diary of a Sex Goddess what is actually on the release is the 1983 shot on video movie Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish. This reviewer has had to keep the titling on the DVD for the titling on the review. However, throughout the review the movie will be referred to by its correct name. Reportedly, Hollywood Confidential 2 is a truncated version of Paul Lyons' 1983 adult movie Delusions.

Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish is your average 80s shot on video adult movie release. There is nothing really special about it or anything that overly sticks out as a reason on why anyone needs to see it. As with your average 80s shot on video adult movie releases, the plot isn't overly well developed nor does it ever entirely make sense and exists to only go from one sex scene to another.

The movie has Teri (Melanie Scott), a movie star and nude model, who is in some sort of reality show where she is interviewed about her biggest sexual wish. It turns out that Teri has been screwing her best friend Melanie's (Robin Cannes) fiancé Mark (Marc Wallice). Teri wants to come clear with Melanie and have sex with both of them. Teri puts her plan into action while the interviewer watches from presumably the shadows.

Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish is one of those adult movies where everyone is just screwing everyone and no one seems to care, even though the premise is that the fear is that people will care. Nothing in the movie is believable, essentially the characters hop from one sack to another. The sex scenes are rather average, at best, and uninspired, at worst. The angles the sex scenes are shot from are typically poor and the director of photography had a penchant for gynecological close-ups not seen like this since the birth of the adult feature in the early 70s.

Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish does get some props for seemingly creating a reality show with a confessional style booth and a house it is set in long before I believe such a show ever existed. Then again, maybe I failed to properly grasp exactly what was going on with the creepy interviewer and just added in current pop culture to make sense of the mess.

The locations used are rather standard for the period, a house likely belonging to someone involved in the production. The only unique room is the interview room, or at least it appears unique (The video quality of the release this reviewer saw is very poor.). However, the locations do fit the movie. Overall, Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish is your average disposable shot on video adult movie that was churned out during the 80s. Not much thought, other than making a quick buck, was put into the work and the movie is unlikely to be desired today.

Classic X Collection has done an absolutely horrific job with their release of Hollywood Confidential: Diary of a Sex Goddess. They didn't even include the proper movie on the release. Need this reviewer say any more about how much effort and care Classic X Collection puts into their releases or quality control? Instead of the proper movie, the movie Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish, which was also released by Classic X Collection as Hollywood Confidential 2, is on the release. This wasn't just a case of the wrong ISO file being put on the disc either because the menus are for Hollywood Confidential: Diary of a Sex Goddess.

Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish, the movie that is actually on the release, is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in 480i. Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish was shot on video, however, the video masters were clearly not used for this release. Instead, it looks like this release was mastered from an old VHS videotape. The video looks horrible with a very soft picture with poor detail. There are glitches in the video and there is bleeding of the image in places. Classic X Collection should be embarrassed by this release.

Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Wish is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural audio track. There is a distinct and noticeable hiss present throughout the entire presentation of the movie. The dialog can be heard and understood throughout the movie.

Classic X Collection hasn't included any extras on this release.

Classic X Collection's release of Hollywood Confidential: Diary of a Sex Goddess is absolutely abysmal since the release doesn't even contain Hollywood Confidential: Diary of a Sex Goddess and instead has Hollywood Confidential 2: Teri Gets Her Way. This reviewer isn't sure what else needs to be said about this release.
