Initial Expectations: There’s something about this one that makes me not want to expect too much, and I’m not quite sure what it is.

Initial Reaction: It’s okay, but nothing special.

Who Should Watch It : Couples who don’t want much outside of vaginal sex

Who Should Avoid It: Raincoaters and anybody who wants a plot or a little more extreme sex, such as anal

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is fairly well balanced, but does have a few problems here and there. The video is slightly grainy, and has a similar quality to a VHS tape of the same age. The lighting is done pretty well, and there aren’t many shadows that interfere with the action. It does have a bit of slow motion, which is really puzzling as it happens during one of the slower moments and only brings things down a bit.

Music: The music is pretty stereotypical. It’s fairly well balanced with the rest of the audio, which is kind of surprising for the age of the feature.

Menus: The main menu is very simple doesn’t even have a little animation to enhances it a little. The chapter menu is pretty standard and only offers a small clip of the scene to let you choose.

False Advertising: Alex Sanders is listed on the cover, but doesn’t appear in the feature.

The Feature: Laura Palmer plays a well known sex doctor, at least I guess that’s what she is. Like most everything else in Heartfelt, there isn’t much thought given to it. She’s upset when she comes home and finds her daughter, Shayla LaVeaux, as well as several of her friends all laying around the house without any clothes like they just finished fucking, which most of them did. That’s about all the thought that’s given to Heartfelt, and it ends up much the way it sounds, like a fairly poor soap opera.

Raylene, a great looking auburn starts things off in bed with Buck Adams, who I think celebrated being able to legally drink around the turn of the century. The eighteenth century that is. Raylene gives Grand-uncle Buck a nice little hummer with some good energy before writhing around and moaning loudly as he eats and fingers her pussy. Buck climbs on Raylene to start fucking her, and with the obvious energy Raylene’s showing the reasons are obvious. Raylene’s putting in so much energy it looks like she’s trying to collect a life insurance settlement out of Buck. Buck remains in control for most of the scene, fucking Raylene as she’s on her stomach and back, but she does get to be in control with a little reverse cowgirl in the middle. She finishes things off with great style by taking a slow pop from Buck and then swallowing it down. It’s a pretty average scene due to the camera work, but Buck and Raylene do look like they’re having a lot of fun here. They both put a lot of energy into the scene, and it pays off. Unfortunately, I didn’t care for some of the camera work, so others might enjoy this scene a lot more than I did.

The guys and gals get together for the next scene. Billy Glide enjoys Shelbee Myne while Steve Hatcher enjoys Randee Lee. Steve and Randee go straight to fucking, while Shelbee and Billy take time to warm each other up. Billy really puts a lot of effort into warming up Shelbee, and eats her out while supporting her in the air for much of it. He fucks Shelbee for a little while, but then trades with Steve so he can have a bit of Randee. The couples work back and forth nicely, and even work into a train so Randee can lick Shelbee’s ass while getting fucked herself. The guys go back to fucking their original partners, and Randee finishes things with Steve’s spunk on her tits while Shelbee lets Billy’s guy goo glide into her mouth. It’s a good scene just due to the chemistry in the scene. Everybody really seems to be enjoying themselves, and although it doesn’t get too involved and there isn’t too much play between the girls, it’s enough to make the scene well above average.

Next up, Shayla LaVeaux takes on Rick Masters, in a scene that seems best described as “beauty and the beast”. It originally looked like Shayla and Rick were going to be in the previous scene, but Rick dragged Shayla off so he wouldn’t have to share her (not that I blame him). Shayla starts out giving Rick a nicely energetic blowjob before moving up to sit on his face so she can give him a handjob while he pleases her orally. A bit later she even turns it into a sixty nine so she can do the job completely. Shayla moves things on by hopping onto Rick in the cameraman approved reverse cowgirl before rolling off to the side so Rick can fuck her doggie style. Shayla ends things by taking Rick’s dick droppings on her back. Once again, it isn’t a completely outstanding scene, but there is some great chemistry and energy. Shayla puts a great amount of energy in here, and her enthusiasm makes this scene work right form the start.

After having a little fight, Laura Palmer, a lanky bleached blonde with a nice natural rack, and Buck Adams make up. Buck slides his tongue around Laura’s clit before she returns the favor with a nice little bit of cocksucking. They compromise with a sixty nine before Buck hops on Laura to start the main event of the scene. They nicely roll from missionary into cowgirl in one fluid motion, which anybody who’s tried knows takes a bit of practice and never comes as easy as Buck and Laura make it look. They round things out with a little doggie style, as it’s about the only position left. Buck ends things standing above Laura and spraying her down with his ho-hose, almost as if he’s pissing on her tits. It’s a different ending, but one Laura really seems to enjoy. It’s another scene with surprising chemistry. It’s extremely rare that a feature has this consistent of chemistry through its scenes, and it definitely helps out this one.

Finally, Shayla goes to Rick Masters’ apartment telling him that she’s moving out of her Mom’s house and in with him. After a little discussion, it of course, turns to sex. Rick starts out licking Shayla’s pussy as she sits on the couch in front of him, and then lets her suck his cock. They work through most of the standard positions once more, including doggie and reverse cowgirl before ending things spooning. Rick pulls out just in time to coat Shayla’s cunt with his dick droppings, and end it with a little more kissing. It’s a pretty standard scene, but lacked some of the spark their previous scene did.

There’s a certain stereotype out there of adult films that say that there isn’t any plot and the sex is normally weak and mechanical, especially with couples films. They’re half right with Heartfelt. There really isn’t any plot, but the sex normally has very good chemistry, which helps it to rise above the average scene even if the scenes do seem like you’ve watched them before. Although I can’t say that Heartfelt really amazed me in any way outside of seeing a guy like Buck Adams still able to get it up, I can’t say it was a complete waste of time either. If you’re a fan of any of the stars here, you might want to give it a rent or buy it if you can find it cheap enough.

Extras: Trailers are included for Sex Spell and Taboo of Tarot. There’s also a photo gallery that lasts almost a minute and three quarters with about five seconds per above average looking photo, which is really great considering the feature’s age.

Overall: Most of Adam & Eve’s standard releases can be found for between about $10 and $22 after a month or two. I don’t know if I’d recommend this for much above the lower end. It’s a pretty stereotypical couples movie sexually, but doesn’t really have a plot. The transfer lacks a bit due to the age of the feature, as does the extras.

Note to Adam & Eve: It’s really great to see you bringing out some of your older releases, especially ones where the sequels have been out for quite a while. They’d be much better if you’d put a little effort into restoring the technical qualities a bit.
