Gorge Review

Director Bruce Cam, a true artist with the camera, has directed a truly spectacular film. Set in what I assume must be a section of the Grand Canyon and filled with manly hunks that are the hallmark of Titan studios, the rugged scenery and the rugged men are a perfect complement for each another. Vistas are filmed in the wide-screen format while sex scenes revert to a full screen. This causes us to be filled with awe at the grandeur of the canyon gorge and then feel as though we are drawn right in there with the sexual participants. It is also the perfect setting in which to create a sense of mystery and myth, and the film certainly has mythic overtones. It has the same aura as the opening segment of Kubrick’s 2001, except that here the apes are replaced with primitive men who make love not war and use those tools that a generous nature has given them.

The film opens with Ray Dragon, a slender bear, surveying the scene from a high ledge. He falls asleep and appears to dream that he is magically transported down the canyon’s river where he meets Dred Scott. Plunging into the water from his unseen transport he swims ashore where he and Dred go at it. Boy, do they go at it! If you do not know Dred from his other Titan appearances, he is a muscular beast with a plethora of tattoos including one, which spells “Black [Brute?]” across his pecs. He specialty is rough sex and he looks the part. It is an oral only scene, but they give it their all. I am somewhat turned off when they spit on one another. I think the intent is to convey brutish passion, but this is something I associate with a master humiliating a slave and seems incongruous here. Just my personal hang-up, maybe. Climaxing, Ray sails backwards up the river and the sleeping Ray awakens.

Dred Scott seems to be some sort of nature spirit that hangs over the place, as we see him high on an outcropping watching Chad Williams and Carlos Marquez frolicking in the stream. Chad is a tall handsome bear with a big dick; Carlos is a muscular tattooed hunk with short-cropped hair. As they climb onto their speedboat to head back to camp with Chad at the wheel, Carlos gives Chad head. Arriving at camp they are all over one another. It is a fun scene. The guys are laughing and having fun sucking each other and their enjoyment is contagious. It’s a great contrast to the first scene where everything was rather heavy. Chad gives Carlos a thorough rimming before filling him with that big dick. I’m always complaining about directors that cut to a fuck in progress; but here, Cam not only shows the initial entry of Chad’s cock into Carlos ass, he gives it to us in a close-up. Yes! When Chad finally withdraws to shoot his load on Carlo’s belly, he leans forward and licks it up, drops some onto one of Carlos’s tits, then licks it up again. Hot! Hot! Hot!

We now find Ray teamed with Matthew York zooming up river in a speedboat. York is an extremely handsome young man with blond hair, a dark beard, and a perfectly proportioned body with great muscle definition that is covered in silky brown hair. Woof! I would go down a gorge with him any day! After a bit of cavorting on board, Ray tosses Matthew into the river and both swim to shore where they head up the rocks to find a suitable place to fuck.

There is a surprising cut to Jake Marshall threatening Dred Scott with a stick before Dred takes it away from hiim and shows Marshall it is better to make love than war. Grey-haired Jake is the daddy of the group, yet he can give as good as he gets. York and Dragon watch their encounter in awe. Then when Dred and Jake have shot their loads, York and Dragon show their newly acquired audience “anything you can do I can do better.” York does a fantastic job deep-throating Dragon’s dick causing Ray to gasp in pleasure. York’s own cock is rock hard as he gives oral delight to his partner. Ray then goes to work on Ray—sucking his cock and balls, rimming his ass, and skewering him on his flesh spear. They move from their standing doggy-fuck to the good ole missionary position for Ray to continue plunging into York’s ass. When both have shot their loads, Dred comes over to take a turn in York’s ass; then goes off to bugger Marshall.

The presence of the others in the film is explained by them being campers or hikers. But who is Marshall? And what is he doing here? Is he another nature spirit like Dred? The old man of the mountains, perhaps. This second Scott-Marshall scene is the least interesting in the film—for, me, at least. I prefer my daddies to be somewhat younger than Jake. I might like him better if he would trim his spiky moustache that gives him a goofy look from certain angles.

We cut to three hikers: Rick Hollander, Carlos Morales, and Ben Jakks. When Rick stops for a piss, Ben and Carlos begin to make out. Ben sucks for too long a time on Carlos’s cock before Rick joins the twosome. Ben finally pushes Carlos to his knees to serve both him and Rick. The two Carloses are the only non-hairy guys in the film. But Marquez has intricate tattoos; Morales’s flesh is unmarked. Rick has red hair, but has removed most of it from his cock. Ben Jakks is another solidly built performer with close-cropped hair and a nipple ring. He and Marquez could pass for cousins in a future film. Carlos does a great job fellating them. He cums and the others do to. The action then moves over to a flat rock where Jakks and Hollander have a go at Morales’s ass. I wouldn’t mind gorging it with Carlos, either.

The final scene begins with the other Carlos (Marquez) out gathering firewood. He runs into Dred and is terrified. He runs back to camp nearly knocking Chad over and hides in the tent. Chad meets Dred and welcomes him. Chad shows Carlos that Dred is not dreadful. Indeed Dred has given several reactions throughout the film that suggest he is a benign spirit. He’s still not all that gentle, however, as he proves by pummeling Carlos’s ass. This terrific threesome brings the film—and us—to the final climax.

A lot of bucks and a lot of hard work went into this production and it shows. Cooped up on a houseboat in the middle of nowhere for the duration of the shoot must have been an additional trial, yet the camaraderie in the scenes suggest it wasn’t all that bad. Super camera work and a great score by J. D. Slater along with great performances from the handsome hunks involved make GORGE a definite must not just for Titan fans but for all who want something really special. The dictionary defines “gorge as follows: 1. (noun) “a deep narrow pass between two heights” and 2. (verb) “to swallow greedily”. Both definitions appear to apply to this sensational and must-have film.

Model Interviews – an interview with Carlos Marquez, which reveals him to be a very charming guy. He’s very open and honest and a staunch advocate of safe sex. This interview is shorter than the one with Carlos and not as engaging.

Behind the Scenes – This is divided into 3 sections: The Road Trip, The Making of Gorge, and a Photo Shoot with Brian Mills.
The Road Trip is mainly a trip with Jake Marshall who jacks off in the backseat of the van on his way to the airport.

The Making of Gorge section is very brief and rather disappointing. The highlight here is “Hey, guess what I found. A baby rattlesnake. (Shots of which appear several times in the film proper).

The photo shoot with Brian Mills is the most interesting thing in this section. It’s always fascinating to see an artist at work and ogle beautiful naked men at the same time. (Wonder if Brian needs an assistant?)

Additional Content – This has two warm-up scenes. One with Carlos Marquez and Chad and one with Dred and Chad.

There is a “Soft Core” section with our three hikers Rick Hollander, Carlos Morales, and Ben Jakks enjoying themselves and the great outdoors au naturel.

There is a “Watersport Montage”. Nobody drinks piss as they do in the extra section of SLAMMER.
