The Golden Key is a vignette-style feature film from writer and director Hank Hoffman and is the first original series produced by Paige Jenning's new streaming platform Vuli. The Golden Key is presented in an episodic format consisting of three episodes, “Discretion Advised,” “Exploration,” and “Olive's Finale.” Each episode continues an arc that connects the three chapters into one continuous story.

The story for The Golden Key is that Olive (Olive Glass) was able to get a good job right after college, and through hard work, got her place. She has always thought of herself as a guardian angel for her little sister Gianna (Gianna Dior). Olive sends Gianna a golden key to a place all of her own with the house rules of woman's choice.

The story is a good vehicle for moving The Golden Key from scenario to scenario. The concept is one that any viewer of feature-style adult movies has seen before. The characters never really get fleshed out; however, it works for giving the viewer more than just an all-sex movie.

The sex scenes are where The Golden Key shines. There are three sex scenes in the movie: Luna Star with Michael Vegas, Gianna Dior with Charlotte Stokely, and Olive Glass with Ramon Nomar. The sex scenes are beautifully shot. No one will be able to accuse Hank Hoffman of lackluster photography. The sexual action is continually moving around, and Hank Hoffman finds some really fun angles from which to shoot the scenes.

The cast does an exceptional job with the sex scenes as well. Everyone is high energy, keeping up with the fluid sexual action with ease, and delivering enthusiastic performances. The sex scenes look great, and viewers should find a lot to like in them.

The way that Hank Hoffman designed The Golden Key means that the house will be easy to revisit in the future if he, or Paige Jennings, wants to create additional episodes, which would certainly be welcome. The plot in the feature serves only to move from sex scene to sex scene. The sex scenes though, are exceptional. Just for the sex scenes alone, The Golden Key is worth watching.

The edition of The Golden Key screened is the streaming-only edition available exclusively on Vuli.com. Vuli is an ethical adult streaming platform created by Paige Jennings, who briefly acted in the adult industry using the name Veronica Vain, which pays performers royalties for scenes that are purchased and provide consumers with a platform that is catered to their tastes free from predatory fee practices.

Vuli has done a good job with their streaming-only release of The Golden Key. The Golden Key was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 letterboxed to 1.78:1. The image quality of the movie is excellent. There aren't any noticeable issues at all with the picture quality, and the colors are represented beautifully.

The Golden Key is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There are a few issues with the sound quality. There are some places where a word in the dialog is dropped. Vuli is aware of the problem and is actively working on fixing the master audio. The dialog drops don't ruin the viewing experience at all.

Vuli has included a wealth of extras for the streaming-only edition of The Golden Key. Paige Jennings produced the extras, and most of them were shot by her as well. There is a Luna Star behind the scenes piece that is seven minutes long and features a still photography session for Luna along with her being interviewed by Paige. There is a minute-long piece where Paige listens in on a sex scene being shot. There is a six-minute piece where Paige interviews Gianna Dior.

There is a two-minute piece with Luna, Paige, and, this reviewer believes, Hank Hoffman chatting. There is a 17-minute piece with Paige and Michael Vegas talking about being a male actor in porn, and Luna joins in for general talk among the three on being in porn in general. There is a six-minute piece where Paige talks with Michael about his site PegHim.com. There is a six-minute piece with Paige talking to Olive Glass and Ramon Nomar before and after the shooting of their sex scene. There is also a half-minute piece with candid footage of Charlotte Stokely.

Paige Jennings has done an exceptional job with the extras providing real interviews with the cast members instead of just the ordinary fluff viewers are way too often given by studios.

The Golden Key is a vignette-style feature film from writer and director Hank Hoffman. The Golden Key has a feature arc through the movie, but is presented as an episodic series, and leaves room for potential new entries. The vignettes are nicely set up, and the sex scenes are exceptional. The Golden Key is well worth watching. Vuli has done a nice job with their streaming-only edition of The Golden Key on Vuli.com with excellent picture and good audio quality, and a wealth of exceptional extras.
