Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's is director Chris Ward's companion piece to the premiere season of his gay hardcore television series Golden Gate: Season 1. Unlike Golden Gate: Season 1, Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's isn't at all scripted and is entirely an all-sex masturbation movie.

Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's consists of five solo masturbation scenes, each one featuring one of the stars from the Golden Gate series; however, not all of the stars from Golden Gate: Season 1 are featured in this movie. Kennedy Carter, from episode 2 “The Island of Lost Toys,” a male from episode 4 “The Beach House,” Chris Porter, from episode 5 “The Rock Show,” Brad Star, from episode 5 “The Rock Show,” and Donny Wright, from episode 5 “The Rock Show,” are all in the movie.

Each of the solo scenes is, as previously mentioned, entirely plot-free. The scenes start with the beginning of the masturbation and end with the climactic conclusion of each solo act. The stars are all featured in the location used for the main sex act for their episode of Golden Gate.

The actors all seem to be enjoying themselves, and none of the solo scenes look the same. Chris Ward has tried to work in some inventive camera work so that the entire movie doesn't look the same, which works better in some places in the movie than other areas.

Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's requires absolutely no knowledge of Golden Gate: Season 1 to watch and is strictly for fans of male masturbation movies. The set from episode 5 “The Rock Show” is way overused in the movie due to the high volume of stars in Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's from that episode; however, fans of male masturbation movies should get some mileage out of this movie.

The edition of Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's screened is the streaming-only edition available on NakedSword.com. NakedSword and Raging Stallion Studios has done an excellent job with their streaming-only edition of Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's. Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 720p. The image quality is beautiful with nice colors and free from noticeable blemishes.

Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's is presented with a Stereo audio track. This reviewer doesn't remember any dialog in the movie, just music; which didn't exhibit any issues.

NakedSword and Raging Stallion Studios haven't included any extras for their streaming-only edition of Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's.

Unlike the related Golden Gate: Season 1, Chris Ward's Golden Gate: Season 1 Solo's is a plotless all sex movie that features five all-male solo masturbation scenes. Each of the scenes features a star from Golden Gate: Season 1 and the masturbation scene takes place on the set of their episode from the series. Viewers who enjoyed the vignette-style of the television series will likely not be as impressed with this release which will appeal to fans of solo masturbation scenes only.
