Scene One -- Review:
The year was 1850, and it was the peak of the Gold Rush in the great state of California. Before the electric cars, neon lights, and warning labels, there was dust, dirt, Old West charm...and pussy. Indeed, the fastest draw reigned supreme, and a few nuggets of gold could get you just about anything...as Ricky Johnson quickly finds out when he encounters the lovely ladies of the Gold Digger Saloon in Santa Clarita. So goes the first scene of director Ricky Greenwood's Gold Diggers (2024) from Digital Playground.
A strong start to this episodic release, the first sequence introduces principal characters--gunslingers, bawdy house girls, prospectors, and the like--and sets up the plot going forward. The old timey town and bar that serve as the backdrop for the episode come off as authentic (as opposed to cheesy), as does the costuming--kudos to the art/design team. The action itself is well captured (standard for Greenwood), and the acting is tight, as well.
In terms of the sex, Johnson flashes a few gold rocks from the "gettin' place" to the gorgeous Abigail Mac, the apparent owner of the Gold Digger, and it's all she needs for her and her best girl, Gal Ritchie, to hike up their dresses and get down to business...the business of pleasure. They have also cast the perfect posse whose acting and sexual skills have been more than up to the task of creating believable Old West characters that the viewer can imbibe like a stiff shot of whiskey on a cold desert's eve. Everything has meshed and blended beautifully throughout--from start to finish--and kudos are to be given for this exquisite, period-specific endeavor.
This particular scene itself (number five of five) kicks off with a blast (or, actually, a number of them) and some culminating plot elements, before ultimately settling down to Adria Rae and Kimmy Granger giving something very meaningful back to the pensively prayerful Seth Gamble (...a man left stripped of his pride after a prior, brutal encounter with Nails' character). Of course, Gamble is as generous as he is serious, and he offers up not only some gold coins...but also his dick. What ensues is a full-on, sexual hoedown, in which Seth gives it to both ladies in an array of raunchy positions and with the fury of a cowboy rustlin' cattle.
