Background
Abby Winters is an Australian-based producer for the girl-only genres. They make two lines: solo masturbation (the Intimage Moments series) and lesbian, which usually have some variation of the "Girls ..." title. This one, Girls with Desire is #20 in the series.

Abby Winters fits into a Pro-Am twilight zone: their performers are professionals, but they don't have that glazed, glamorous and glossy that are common on Hollywood productions. Some of their girls could probably be famous porn stars with the makeup, lighting, clothes and several pounds of silicone; but what's particularly attractive is that the girls look like amateurs, like girls you meet at the office or at the mall every day. The presentation looks real, unscripted and spontaneous, like you're watching what these people would do on their day off even if there were no cameras around. If you like surreal fantasies, then this is a bitter disappointment; but if you're jaded by the cheap plastic look of most porn titles and you want something that looks real, like the girls are really cumming and really enjoying themselves, then this is porn nirvana.

The Features
Two main features, each with two girls. The first one stars and old friend, Chloe B., and newcomer Angie; the setting is a haystack inside a barn. The second feature also features Angie, but this time with Shaminee. They appear to be in some sort of a building (barn?) loft, which is very airy and empty. As most AW scenes seem to be set in small bedrooms, it's quite a departure.

As mentioned earlier, the typical Abby Winters girl tends to be 20-something, slim, small breasted and very natural looking. Chloe B. was always a standout in this case, a bit more soft and rounded in her body, voluptuous but not sloppy fat, with very large breasts and natural red hair. Angie is a new and welcome addition to the fold: a similiarly endowed, raven-haired busty beauty; a lesbian shoot with Chloe B. suddenly puts AW in the league with the best big-boob producers like SCORE. The advantage is you get AW content: lots of kissing and caressing, actual attention to breasts, and what appear to be many real orgasms, not just a bunch of howling, moaning fake racket.

The second feature brings back Angie but pairs her with Shaminee, a smaller-breasted, lean brunette with some interesting body art&mash;enough to draw attention but not enough to be freakish. Fans who dislike toys in their videos will be happy to note the absence of dildos, vibrators, butt plugs, bowling pins and Sybians here. In its place are breasts, vaginas, fingers, tongues and lips in every reasonable combination available.

Both features include something that makes AW different than most everything else: the interviews. Abby's typically shoots pre- and post-coital interviews, but in the past they were usually extra content available only on their website, or were offered as bonus content on the DVD. Now they're actually part of the feature, but you're offered the choice of being able to play the film through with or without the interviews, as you see fit. That's a really nice feature. A lot of studios seem to just slap things together and out the door; AW stuff strikes me that real people actually spend a lot of time thinking about their titles, and assume there may be a demand for Girls With Desire long after the competition's Your Fingers Stink #36 will be cluttering up the landfills.

Extras:
There's the ubiquitous slide show, plus a behind-the-scenes that I thought was actually pretty good. This was a photo shoot of Angie and Shaminee's scene; the photos end up as content on Abbywinters.com. As an amateur photographer who always found this stuff fascinating, I thought it was a nice glimpse into what goes on and how it's done.

Production values: Standard Abby Winters content: bright, clean video with good color and light; the camera is usually where you want it to be; it's slickly edited but they don't try to be artsy. No annoying music, just good sound. Sometimes it's hard to hear the girls when they're speaking, but some of that is just my American ear struggling with the Aussie accent; or in the case of the BTS scene, because they probably couldn't get the microphones close enough while everyone's moving about. Not a big problem, though.

Final verdict: Great stuff if you like realistic, natural lesbian videos, with lots of frosting for those of us who love big boobs as well. This may be my favorite Girl-Girl video yet.
