Initial Expectations: Girls of Pain 4: Bunny’s Lesson in Submission really impressed me, and has me looking forward to this one much more than I normally would.

Initial Reaction: This one’s okay. Some of it worked pretty well for me, while others didn’t.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of darker bondage

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting actual sex

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio leaves a bit to be desired. It’s nicely balanced, but has a few echoes. The bigger problem is that the balance is completely screwed. I had to turn my volume up as far as it would go to be able to hear the movie, which meant that the static was as loud as the performers. The video is much better, but still a little flawed. It’s quite clear and nicely lit, but at the same time it’s a little jerky at times, almost like you’re watching a flip-book rather than a movie.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu is nicely done and does a great job of working a few clips from the movie together. The chapter menu is okay, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and what Kimberly is worked on in the scene. This is the first time I’ve seen a bondage chapter menu done like this, and I’ve gotta admit that I found it quite impressive.

The Feature

After working at the dungeon for about a week, Kimberly is given an audience with Master Rick due to a few complaints which were lodged against her. He’s worried that she can’t hack it at the dungeon because she’s using the safe word way too often. One of her coworkers thinks she needs to be desensitized, but Master Rick thinks that instead she needs to learn how to appreciate the pain, and sets out to help her do just that.

Kimberly starts things out on her knees with her head bowed and arms crossed in front of her wearing only a bra and old fashioned panties when Master Rick enters dressed all in black. After discussing why she’s there, Master Rick has Kimberly strip down a bit and restrains her hands above her. He runs his hands across her back before flogging it, and moves down to work on her ass as Kimberly struggles against him a little. Next, Rick ties her up. He starts out tying her ankles together before having her put her arms in the air and running the rope around her chest just under her tits. He continues to work the rope around her tits before tying her wrists together and then tying her hands behind her head with the rope run through her mouth. After checking things, Master Rick flogs Kimberly’s tits before switching to a rubber swatter. He follows it up with a set of very sturdy nipple clamps and some heavy weights. He lifts and drops the clamps a few times before leaving her for a bit to appreciate the pain.

When Kimberly does well with her nipple torture, Master Rick straps her to a table on all fours. He admires her ass before spanking it and then works it over with his flogger and a paddle. After spanking her a bit, Master Rick lets Kimberly know that she can increase her ability to be spanked using acupuncture. He takes the needle off a syringe and sticks it into her ass before following suite with nine more needles. He adjusts the camera and then pricks her ass with another eight needles, and then sprays a bit of alcohol on her ass before leaving her to meditate. Finally, Kimberly is put on her back wearing a ball gag with her legs in the air and her arms tied to her calves. Master Rick pours hot wax around her thighs as she writhes around on the table.

Girls of Pain 5 is a pretty good bondage movie. Kimberly is good looking, while Master Rick really seems to know what he’s doing. He kept the action nicely paced with a nice variety. I’ll readily admit that some of it was way too far out for me, and yes, that means the needles. Kimberly seems to take most of it quite well, but since the camera was on a tripod and she had a ball gag in her mouth much of the time it was very hard to tell just how much she was really getting into the action. As for negatives, the biggest problem I had was the audio level, as the hiss from my speakers was loud enough that it started to get me a little too relaxed from the level of white noise that I couldn’t help but hear. Girls of Pain 5 probably isn’t the best choice for somebody looking for their first bondage movie, but it’s advanced enough that experienced bondage players and fans should be able to get into it quite well.

The slideshow lasts about a minute and a quarter with roughly five seconds per very good looking full screen capture. Trailers are included for Girls Gone Black, Gangbangers 3, and Hot Sexy Plumpers. There’s also commercials and company info.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Sensational’s DVDs can be found online for between about $12 and $15. If you want some darker bondage action, this one should be well worth the money. Kimberly is cute, and Master Rick doesn’t seem to hold much back working on her. The technical aspects sink a little below average due to an extremely low audio level and some jumpy video, and sadly there isn’t a lot of effort put into the extras. This is an okay DVD.
