Girlcore S2 E2: Working For The Weekend Review

If in any way aware of what makes 80s television and pornography fantastic, this is a must-watch feature. "Working For The Weekend" operates from the soft spot in a Venn diagram that includes two episodic classics. ABC-TV drama "Dynasty" and porn series "Swedish Erotica" both featured oftentimes illogical plotlines acted out with unblinking aplomb in very legitimate-appearing real-time scenarios. Foremost, before discussing anything regarding the nature of the sexual coupling in this film, a notion must be presented. There's something about imagining Brandi Love as Seka and Reagan Foxx as Christina Lindberg that elevates the expectation of the performance in this film. And yes, to this epic level, this delivers.

Brandi Love's pale blue eyeshadow is the reason for the Seka recall, and while she's in the midst of explaining to Regan Foxx how she desires to be pleasured, this porn released in 2020 feels like a film from at least four decades prior. The timelessness of what's being done here is impressive. It's very clear that Love and Foxx are two veteran performers in that they're taking their time to really develop a groove here that's more a camera's eye view into casual sex than a must-watch sexual encounter captured on film. That's important. In the 80s, there was a refreshingly novel feel to the idea of women's sexual empowerment that made being a voyeur to it all quite intriguing to the viewer. Thus, once again, this makes the Girlcore series a much better viewing experience for the porn semi-neophyte instead of the veteran viewer looking for either a quick nasty release or a more sex-first driven narrative.

Entertaining here is the idea that the plot of the film seems to be first that of warring female executives in a male-driven boardroom where the men-as-subordinates are arguing. Of course, there's a place for a feature wherein it's a two-on-six domme-fest. Or, a six-on-two gangbang. But in the men comically scurrying from the boardroom when the women's angst escalates to the point of fisticuffs, the woman-on-woman dynamic emerges and entices. Love and Foxx are well-regarded in the MILF porn realm. Seeing these two expand upon that and take that nurturing, dominant streak into sex with each other ensures something potentially amazing can occur.

To expand upon the "Dynasty" corollary, Reagan Foxx is "Joan Collins in 1985 hot" in this scene. Her performance, as well, is fantastic. The best porn performers meet the energy of their costar, and then, by method of their action, explode the energy being exerted upon them. There's a moment where Brandi Love is sitting on Reagan Foxx's face and Foxx is manipulating Love's clit like an Atari joystick that is amazing to witness. There's a softening to the passion here, and a dropping of the fourth wall, too. For the second half of the film that transpires, the love-fest from Love to Foxx for what Foxx is doing to her body overtakes the apparent dramatic action of "80s power women in a boardroom."

Just like in any good "Swedish Erotica" feature, "Working For The Weekend" presents a scene based in reality, that then evolves into real women having real sex in a fantasy scenario. It's an engrossing feature that's well worth your time and delivers in loads for your enticement.
