Audio /Video Quality:
The technical aspects are very good. The audio is clear and well balanced and shows some very definite care. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It's very well lit and clear with a great hand on the camera.
Watermark Warning:
Although I don't like to see watermarks, I don't blame studios for using them if they think it will stop piracy of their product if they can do it tastefully. There is a pretty tasteful Evil Angel watermark in the lower right corner. It's soft, static, and easy to put out of one's mind for the most part, but due to some of the camera angles and faces showing up in that corner it does intrude a few times. Normally I'd say that this is a great way to do a watermark due to it's size, location, and not being overly bright, but in this case it actually does interfere with the movie a few times.

In Girl/Boy, director Dana Vespoli plays around with gender issues a bit through four scenes. Each of the scenes has a short lead-in which sometimes involves a touch of story and sometimes gets a little artistic and sexy.

Simply put, this scene alone is probably better than three quarters of the movies I've watched over the last year. Everything comes together here, from the artistic style to the chemistry to the sexuality to the added kinks. The kink and artistic factors stay on display as Danny and Veruca's scene starts,with some nice split screen action and Danny's cross-dressing twist. I love Veruca's reaction as she comes into the bedroom, and there's no shortage of chemistry between them as the scene moves on. Jiz starts the penultimate scene very nicely with her well dressed dance, and once again there's no stopping the chemistry as she's joined by Manuel for a great fuck. Finally there's Dana's scene with Johnny, which is quite possibly the most “standard” scene in the movie. I love Dana's starting out in control and then giving it up as Johnny works her over through the scene. Again the chemistry is fantastic, and the action is captured just as well. If there's a complaint about the movie, for me it was that as it went on, the movie seemed to play it safe more and more. I don't know if this was Dana trying to have the sex evolve from scene to scene up to that point on purpose or if it just ended up that way, but by the end of the movie I was definitely missing some of the extra kink of the first couple scenes. That's a very minor complaint with how strong the movie is, but still something that stood out to me. Girl/Boy is a very strong release that's definitely worth checking out for the curious, and well worth the purchase for those who are already a fan of Dana Vespoli or who just want a little extra kink with their porn.
