Getting Personal (Wicked) Review

Initial Thoughts: Wicked has had a long tradition of putting out top notch features, they have also put out some of the adult films with the largest budgets too, I don't know where this one fits in as far as money spent, but it has a very nice look to it, some fine costumes and some pretty scenery to boot. The story is basically following Jayna Oso, who is a writer who gets an assignment she is not too fond of, and most of the rest of the tale is her spiralling into this web of fascination with personal adds, and her sexual adventures that follow. It's one of those adult stories, that has a reasonable amount of interesting content, but frankly comes off a little flat, It works well enough to piece the sex scenes together, and even on it's own it has some appeal, but I would have liked to seen a little more development on the story end. The sex brings a nice variety, with some solo work, a little girl on girl action, and plenty of pecker pumping. It's also incredibly short, runtime for the feature is just a shade over 77 minutes and that really gives the whole thing a real rushed feeling to it, and keeps every thing from getting to develop as it should. Overall though this one is more dissappointment than success, the high points don't get to stay high long enough.

Technical Considerations: There are no glaring problems, but the technical aspects are unspectacular. Picture quality is good but there is a bit of a haze and grain to the image quality. Camera work is for the most part acceptable, lighting is mostly good but there are some shadow issues and light and dark spots. Sound is perfectly fine. The menus are simple and work well, but frankly they are pretty drab and cheap feeling compared to how well the disc is done.

Bonus Scene: It always kind of ticks me off a little when a studio can't just shoot a new bonus scene for thier new releases, I know it's cheap to throw on some scene from another release, but it would add so much in my view if they'd shoot that extra scene or even if it was a scene went bad, but atleast new content. Final Thoughts and Recommendations:

I loved the cast in this one, and that is really part of what frustrates me about this disc, so much potential and very little delivery. The story and the costumes had some potential too, and they just never got used that much and the story never really developed into anything. The sex was occasionally hot, but too many times it went off on some odd tangent or just kind of fizzled. Give this one a rental if you must, but I wouldn't get too excited on this one, unless your a diehard Jayna Oso fan, then there is some payoff as you get to see the hot one naked often, but she has had better films to showcase her greatness.
