The Short Story

Initial Expectations: This is the first Vouyer DVD I'm checking out, and I've heard good things about the quality they've been putting out. I'm going into this one with a bit of hope.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there might have been a very minor background noise or two. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks fantastic. There's a moment or two of handheld shakes, but that's it for problems. Beyond that it's very clear and well lit with camera work that seems surprisingly smooth for the action it's capturing.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu works from a couple clips of the movie into the boxcover with a little background animation. The chapter menu nicely lets you choose a scene based on a still of each girl and her name before letting you choose where you want to go in each scene sexually.

The Feature

Beyond that, the scene was a bit hit or miss for me as I'm not a fan of blow bangs. That said, Gwen gets into it all extremely well and help to make this another winner of a scene.

The Gauntlet 2 is a very well done fuck flick. Vince does a great job focusing on each of the girls as they work from group to group, and all of the girls do an amazing job taking on each group and swallowing the loads. I'm not a big fan of gangbangs or blow bangs, but Vince handles it all well enough here that even with it not being my thing I could watch the movie and get into some of the scene. Even when the action wasn't my cup of tea I could see the skill in the movie and couldn't help but be impressed with how well Vince made a movie with fairly focused action flow. There's a fun feeling to many of the scenes as well as a bit of a challenge, and that helped The Gauntlet 2 stand up against some of the other movies out there which are slightly similar to it. The Gauntlet 2 might not be quite my thing, but it's impossible to deny that it's a very well made fuck flick which should be very hard to beat for those out there who enjoy blow bangs and group action.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts a few seconds short of five minutes with about six seconds per good looking snapshot. There's also interviews, a bonus scene, and extra footage.

The Cutting Room Floor featurette lasts about twenty five minutes. Zach makes his way around the set as Riley and Aaliyah get ready for their scene and pose for photos. There's also a bit of Aaliyah talking about what she likes and doesn't like with Vince showing the class to call the guys over to make sure they all know it. There's even a bit of Vince working with the cast to set up the scene before moving on with Gwen in the truck on the ride over. Gwen shows off her tits on the ride over as well as in the makeup chair and continues to chat with Vince throughout the movie. Alexa is next, who talks about her love of booty calls while getting into her outfit before posing for plenty of stills during the action. Finally, Alexa hops in the shower with an invitation to give her one more load inside. This is a very nice behind the scenes featurette. It nicely mixes up the action, going from the stars hanging out to setting up the scenes to working through the scenes. It has a very nice balance to it, and shows off plenty of personality from the stars. There's also some good personality from Vince, who comes off as looking like he cares a lot about the limits of his performers and being able to balance fun and work on the set. This is a very nice behind the scenes featurette.

Aftermath Interviews are included with the girls. Riley takes about six minutes to talk about her looking a bit squeamish towards the end and what all she did to make it. She talks about it being a little scary and not being something she'd recommend to many people before letting Vince know she might be interested in more sex if she wasn't so sore. Alex's interview also lasts about six minutes as she enjoys a post shoot smoke. This is a great collection of interviews that definitely adds to the Gauntlet experience.

Bonus Scene – Rebecca Steel and Vince Vouyer

The action is very well captured and executed with very good technical aspects and a lot of effort put into the extras. This is a very impressive DVD all the way through.
