The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Jim Enright had some nicely done movies in the mid nineties. I’m looking forward to this one.

Initial Reaction: It’s okay, but nothing special and is definitely dated.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of interracial sex with a corny plot

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting their interracial sex a little on the nastier side.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: For being ten years old, the technical aspects are fairly impressive. The audio is normally clear and well balanced, although there are a few moments when I could hear a little background noise. The video is much the same way. It has a soft feeling, but is normally well lit and fairly clear. Surprisingly, the technical aspects here are as good or better than what I see from quite a few other studios today.

Music: The music is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio, but very cheest and dated.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu blends the boxcover and a bit of the movie while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

When Tom finally gets a date with Jordan, he’s not really sure what to do when he gets back to her place. Luckily for him, his invisible friend ‘Cool Dude’ (Julian St. Jox) is there. ‘Cool Dude’ gives him pointers through the night and tells him stories to get him to build up the nerve to put the moves on Jasmine.

Scene 1 - Heather Lee and Julian St. Jox

‘Cool Dude’ Julian gets it on with Heather in the gym to start things out. He leads her away from the weights and she has him sit back so that she can work him over orally. He eats her in return before fucking her from behind. He also gives it to Heather a bit missionary style before fucking her ass from behind. Finally Heather takes an okay facial from Julian and sucks out every last drop.

This is an okay scene. The chemistry is very nice between Heather and Julian, but the style of the camera work didn’t do much for me. It has the style of alternating between distance shots where you can’t see anything and gyno-cam shots which only let you see the penetration. This scene had a lot more potential than what’s shown here.

Scene 2 - Nikki Sinn and Tom Chapman

Tom and Nikki get it on during a flashback scene. She starts out titty fucking and sucking him before sliding his cock into her cleanly shaven twat. Nikki rides Tom reverse cowgirl style before letting him spoon her pussy. Finally, Tom fucks her from behind before popping on her great ass.

This is a pretty good scene. Nikki’s definitely in control here, and puts some nice energy into the scene. It moves along nicely, and the camera work seems a bit better balanced. This is a decent scene.

Scene 3 - Jordan McNight and Nikki Sinn

Nikki and Jordan get it on next, in another of Tom’s fantasies. Jordan accuses Nikki of being all talk, so Nikki puts her tongue where Jordan’s lips are. She even lets her tongue drop down to work on Jordan’s ass. Jordan eats Nikki’s pussy in return before granting her request to fuck her ass. Finally, the girls bring things to a close kissing.

This is a pretty good scene, and probably the best in the movie. There’s nice chemistry between the girls, and although it has a soft feel, it isn’t too boring. It’s a pretty typical girl - girl scene, but a decently done one.

Scene 4 - Anna Malle, Heather Lee, and Tom Byron

The girls start out giving Tom a little oral attention at both ends in Julian’s next story. Tom and Heather team up on Anna’s holes next, before giving Heather her turn. Heather get the first fuck from behind while eating Anna before Tom fucks each of Anna’s holes on the desk missionary style while she sucks Heather’s tits. Finally Tom strokes himself onto Anna’s stomach.

This is an okay group scene. Like the earlier scenes, it tends to focus on gyno-cam shots a bit too much, and barely showed the penetration along with the person’s reaction. There’s some nice chemistry here between Tom and the girls, but it isn’t enough to help the scene rise past the average level.

Scene 5 - Jordan McKnight and Tom Chapman

Finally Tom throws himself at Jordan. They kiss heavily before Jordan moves down to mouth Tom’s love muscle. She hops up to ride him cowgirl style before rolling onto her back so Tom can give it to her missionary style. Finally, Tom pulls out and pops on Jordan’s big fat titties.

This is another decent scene at its best. Jordan puts some nice energy into things, and has nice chemistry with Tom. Some of the scene is a bit dark, but for the most part it’s okay.

Frontin’ da Booty is an okay mid-nineties porno. The plot is cheesy, and although downright laughable at times it didn’t come off as the good type of laughable to me. Most of the time Tom came off as pathetic, and although Jordan was kinda cute, I didn’t find her as attractive as many other black women out there. The camera work and editing also didn’t do much for me, and I found myself easily distracted from the movie due to the style of blending gyno-cam shots with shots that didn’t really show you anything. Frontin’ da Booty was a pretty typical porno back in its day, but compared to so much of what’s come since then it leaves a great bit to be desired.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Crazed, Double Feature!, Dream Quest, Flashpoint, and Heartache. The photo gallery lasts about a minute and a half with about four seconds per okay looking snapshot or full screen photo. There’s also promotional materials, the Wicked Web, a company profile, and a list of AVN & Wicked DVD winners and nominations.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Wicked’s Vintage Edition DVDs can be found online for between about $8 and $20 with most stores offering them for under $15. I’d rent this one before buying it. The movie’s a bit corny and the action is hit or miss. The technical aspects are nicely done for the age of the feature, and there isn’t really anything special for extras.
