Forked is an adult movie from writer and director Kay Brandt that defies any sort of categorization. This reviewer feels safe in stating that he is sure that an adult movie like Forked has never been made before. The best way that this reviewer can find to describe Forked is for the reader to think part all sex movie, part cooking show, and part reality show. This will give the viewer a general idea of what Forked is like.

Forked is also, surprisingly, very entertaining. The insertion of surprisingly isn't supposed to be a hit at Brandt since this reviewer has actually enjoyed all of her work that he as seen. This reviewer just didn't think that this formula had any chance of being worth watching and thought Adam & Eve might have lost their minds by green-lighting the movie. However, this reviewer is happy to say how wrong that initial thought process was.

Forked is essentially composed of half of a cooking show and half of an all sex adult movie. Then the cooking show half is essentially half of a morning show feel and half of a reality show feel. Sound complicated? It really isn't. Mercedes Carrera hosts Forked and keeps the movie going if it starts to veer off.

The movie takes place over two days and each day has a different adult movie star cast. The first day has Cristi Ann, Jenevieve Hexx, Dick Chibbles, Alison Rey, Marcus London, Tony DeSergio, Joe Filippone, and Leo Christensen as the participants and the second day has Mia Li, Leya Falcon, and Damon Dice as participants.

For the cooking show segments, the adult movie stars share and cook their favorite recipes — yes they do actually cook them on the show — and hang out in the kitchen and chat. For the all sex movie segments, the adult movie stars get down and dirty with each other.

Forked is genuinely amusing. Brandt has collected a good assortment of adult movie stars that have great chemistry hanging out with each other in the kitchen and chatting. The chemistry between the stars doesn't end in the kitchen thankfully and continues into the bedroom — sometimes metaphoric sometimes literal. The sex scenes are well done and sizzle as much as some of the dishes that are being prepared.

Forked does seem a little unbalanced. The first day seems far more packed than the second day, although this reviewer can honestly state he isn't sure which one he preferred. It does seem like the movie evolved as time went on and aspects were rethought for the second day. This reviewer does wish that instead of a movie, Forked had been made into a shorter length weekly series on Adam & Eve TV as the format works and it would have been nice to see more episodes.

Forked is a really fun adult movie to watch and should be viewed. Don't let the odd structure or concept make you think otherwise. You will laugh, you will enjoy some nicely performed sex scenes, and you may even learn a recipe or two to try yourself.

The edition of Forked that was screened is the streaming only version on Adam & Eve TV. Adam & Eve has done a great job with their streaming version of Forked. Forked was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. Forked is presented in high definition in 2600kbps, 1800kbps, 1100kbps, and 800kbps streams. The video quality is excellent with vibrant color and no noticeable defects at all. There is an Adam & Eve TV bug in the lower right-hand corner of the screen that comes and goes during the movie.

Forked is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There are no noticeable issues at all with the audio presentation in Forked. The dialog in the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times.

The only extra that Adam & Eve has included are five photo galleries. This reviewer wishes that printable recipe cards or a downloadable PDF of the recipes in the movie had been included since many of the dishes sounded absolutely delicious.

Forked is an absolutely unique adult movie from director, creator, and writer Kay Brandt and Adam & Eve that this reviewer is positive has never before been done. Forked is part cooking show and part all sex movie and somehow Brandt manages to make this odd combination work resulting in a fun and amusing adult movie with some great sex scenes. Forked is highly recommended. Adam & Eve has done a great job with the audio and video with their streaming only release of Forked on Adam & Eve TV.
