Initial Expectations: Normally with new companies I go in with a pretty open mind as well as no expectations. I know they’re only distributing this one for Club magazine, but knowing some of the people that are behind and involved with Pulse, I can’t help but go into this one with very high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s fairly generic, but works well with what it’s given.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and for the most part, well balanced. I don’t think I noticed any background noises or anything else to interfere with it. The video is also well done. It’s very nicely lit, and although there is a touch of grain it isn’t any worse than 90% of the other current releases that treat the video right.

Music: The music is fairly generic with a good beat, and a bit on the heavy side.

Menus: The main menu nicely works together a bit of the movie with some style and animation for a very good first impression. The chapter menu has nice style as well, but just lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature

Although it may add ten pounds, the camera never lies. Yes, Gina is the photographer whose subjects all seem to get it on in front of her camera. It’s not a new idea, but one that works fine to set up plenty of sex scenes.

Scene 1 - Gina Lynn and Jerry

Bottle blonde Gina starts the first scene out snapping photos of Jerry in black boxers while trying to motivate him by teasing him with glimpses of her tits in some pale blue lingerie with black polka dots and a bit of lace. Gina also seemed to push things a little with her vocals. That said, Gina and Jerry also drew me completely into the scene. I was into it well before Gina started showing off her fantastic ass, and I think there’s a chance that she might have actually had an orgasm during the scene. The only thing that really interfered with the scene for me was a few flashes back to Gina and Jerry with their clothes on during the photo shoot. This was a hot scene that starts Flash off on the right foot, and just might be the best scene in the movie.

Scene 2 - Brittney Skye and Travis Knight

Gina shoots her real life hubby Travis with bottle blonde Brittney in the next scene. The trash talking between them saved the scene for me, and kicking it up with fucking through the handcuffs and the anal more than saved the scene for me. This is a flawed scene with some nice heat to it.

Scene 3 - Lexi Marie, Harmony, and Gina Lynn

Gina and Harmony, in white and black stockings respectively, start the third scene out worshiping black stockinged Lexi’s tits before Harmony drops down to tongue her twat. This is a pretty average scene. The girls do an okay job, but they all look so similar that I really felt kind of lost with it. The one at a time pacing of the scene, rather than having the girls work back and forth a bunch, also didn’t do much for me. There’s nothing really bad about the scene, but there’s nothing special about it either. This is a very generic scene.

Scene 4 - Brooke and Lee Stone

Dirty blonde Brooke starts out the penultimate scene wearing a black, white, and orange bikini top with a black mesh top, black hot pants, and tall black boots with Lee stone next to her and a nice bike behind them. They kiss and grope each other a bit before Brooke drops down to mouth his manhood. This is another fairly average scene. Brooke has a nice body, but her mugging the camera during the blowjob started her off on the wrong foot for me. She gives a few good vocals, but once again the scene seemed very generic. This is an okay scene, but nothing about it seemed really special.

Scene 5 - Shy Love and Jerry

This is another very generic scene. Shy looks good and puts some nice energy into the scene. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get past the feeling that I’d watched this scene already. This scene finished the movie a step or two down from where it began.

Flash rides a rocky road. It has a nice cast and they do a good job in their scenes, but right from the start it goes with such a generic idea that it would almost spice things up by having the pizza boy or pool cleaner show up for the photo shoot. Gina and Brittney easily shine as the best things in the movie in the first two scenes, but sadly after that Flash has a had time moving behind the generic setup of the movie. There isn’t anything wrong with any of the scenes, but most of the scenes in Flash gave me the feeling that I’ve seen them before. Lorenzo Santini does a nice job with the direction, which helps things out, and the camera work is nicely done with some well done editing. Unfortunately, once Brittney’s ass fucking there was nothing in the movie that seemed unique enough to fully keep my attention. Flash is a nicely done fuck flick, but it’s hardly original.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about three minutes with roughly six seconds per good looking snapshot. There’s also a couple featurettes.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about thirteen minutes. Jerry starts things out with a short interview about what he likes sexually and being excited to work with Gina. Gina talks about first meeting Jerry before a few of the still photos are shot. Brooke is next for the interviews, who talks about working with Lee and her first fuck on a bike before Lee comes in to help her out. Brittney has an enthusiastic interview about her scene and poses for a few stills next before Gina shows up to talk about why she had Jerry brought back for Shy’s scene. It’s a nice little behind the scenes featurette, and does a good job looking at some of the major players in the movie. Unfortunately, the entire cast isn’t included in the behind the scenes.

Club Extras lasts a little over sixteen minutes. It starts out with Gina Lynn and Alexis Amore taking on Tyler Knight before moving on with Monica Sweetheart and Lee Stone in another scene. There’s even an interview with Alexis Malone (I think) where she talks about sex, being an east coast girl, and working in a zoo. It’s a nice extra, I guess, but without knowing where any of it is coming from other than that it wasn’t this Club release, it’s fairly easy to throw away.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, this one’s available online for between about $20 and $25. At that price, I’d definitely suggest renting this one first. There’s some good sex, but the entire movie feels like I’ve seen it several times before. The technical aspects show some nice care, and although the extras could use some polish they also show some good effort. This is a DVD that shows some nice potential for Club.

Note to Pulse Distribution / Club Magazine: For what appears to be your first DVD, you did a nice job here. With some of the artistic eye shown here I hope you try to branch out into something a little more unique in the future.
