Audio /Video Quality:
The technical aspects are top notch. The audio is clear and well balanced with music that fits in to make the presentation all the stronger. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. The picture is normally clear, but there are some areas with a little grain that give it a more film-like look and strengthens the presentation even more. Add in lighting that's nothing short of phenomenal and this is one of the best presented releases I've seen in a very long time (probably since the last Kayden Kross movie I watched).

This is another fantastic scene.

The sex is every bit as solid as one would hope as the three ladies reunite, and I love how much they move around to work each other over and mix things up. Jesse's definitely looking more voluptuous, but definitely hasn't lost a beat sexually, and Kayden and Riley are still as hot as ever. This is a great scene to close the movie with.
Although many seem to forget about them and only follow performers, I can't help but think that the director of a movie draws me in every bit as much (if not more) than the performer. Kayden Kross is one of those directors, and The Female of the Species shows why. You have a top notch cast of ladies along with some solid studs who you pretty much know are going to turn out solid sex. The things that makes the difference here are behind the camera. To start with, the camera work is really top notch, with a great blend of angles that keep the action classy rather than resorting to a boatload of gyno-cam shots, but at the same time they never hold back the action by making it feel like it's trying to soften things. The lighting is downright amazing, and as good or better than I've seen in a lot of mainstream movies. Finally, there's the editing. In my opinion, editing is something that only stands out at the ends. You notice it if it's really bad or really good, and here it's not just really good, but outstanding, and I'll admit to being a little disappointed that the only person behind the crew who receives credit in the movie is Kayden as the director as the others really do deserve a lot of credit. Back to the scenes themselves, I love the variety here. There's a nice mix of looks to the girls as well as a nice mix to the action with an interracial scene to start things out and the lesbian threesome to close it. The Female of the Species is a must buy release and continues to show that Kayden Kross is one of the best directors in the wonderful world of porn.
