Many films, especially those at the higher end of the adult marlet, attempt to sell their film based almost solely on the name on the cover. Fatale does that horrifically well. There is only one reason to buy this film, cover girl Monica Sweetheart. Certainly the hottest girl to recent emerge in the American adult scene and arguably the most delightful adult star in the industry in general, Monica Sweetheart is Fatale’s only charm, only joy. I say that on several levels. First of all, the other stars are not even identified, except in the credits by which time, it’s much too late to know who anyone is. Furthermore, only the blonde who shares the final threesome with Monica is really attractive anyway. The other girls are “unpolished European” girls who are not the most attractive.

Thus, if Monica if the film’s only charm, let’s focus this review on Monica. She is quite something, especially in her solo one-on-one scene, in which she’s fucked on the hood of a car, in temperatures so cold you could nearly see steam rising from her hot pussy. However, as the true professional she is, Monica shows nothing but the hot passion she know her to have. Her other scene is the finale, which unfortunately she only participates in at the end. The blonde takes the first three positions, even as Monica strokes the blonde’s pussy or sucks on her breasts. Monica does finish the scene strong, bending over for her signature doggy-anal that Monica does so well. Monica is a highlight in a very dark (for the industry and especially Adam and Eve) film.

Everything else is awful. The worst part might be the director’s commentary, which adds none of the insights into the making of the film that a Jonathan Morgan or a Jim Holliday might share. Instead, Jack Vincennes drones on mindlessly, adding really awful jokes on the French (where the film was filmed and where Jack is from) in a worse French accent, obviously pandering to the American audience that is not very “Viva Francais” today. Also, why is the film called Fatale in the first place? Monica, nor anyone else, does not become some psycho killer. She finds her boyfriend in bed with her best friend in Paris, then escapes to the country, where she becomes a sex-for-hire whore to help her friend keep her house.

Fatale, honestly, is horrible, and that’s something very sad to say about a film starring one of the best adult performers in the business today. Mr. Vincennes is totally to blame for this in his attempt to make a film far too artsy and far too unerotic.
