The Fantasy Project is a vignette-style feature film from writer and director, Ms. Naughty. Ms. Naughty uses a simple arch to connect the sex scenes, but since the movie is a vignette-style film, there is a massive amount of themes presented in the sex scenes.

The story for The Fantasy Project is that Kate Eden (Madison Missina), a sex writer, is studying female sexual fantasies for a book she is writing. Kate, who is having intimacy issues with her fiancee Hayden (Ryan James), reads through e-mails of the fantasies women have sent in. Each fantasy is shown as Kate reads the e-mail.

The use of Kate reading the e-mails provides an excellent vehicle for the different sex scenes. Such devices have been used since the days of the old loop carriers, and continue to be used today since they easily allow the linkage of sex scenes that otherwise would never fit together in a feature film.

Unfortunately, the Kate thread suffers the same way that this style of vehicle has undergone since the days of the loop carrier. Kate's story never gets fully explored. Kate's story is given the excellent conflict of the intimacy issues that she and Hayden are experiencing while she is trying to study sexual fantasies. So much could have been done with this, and, sadly, the viewer is left wishing this thread had been explored more during the movie.

The sex scenes feel like the old Penthouse Forum style Dear Penthouse Forum letters that were published, except from the female's point of view and more realistic. Each of the sexual scenarios is narrated by the writer, who acts out the fantasy as they describe it. These scenarios alone are worth watching The Fantasy Project.

The director of photography Luke has done an excellent job of capturing the sex scenes. Each sex scene plays on different sexual niches, from cuckold-style fantasies, to food fantasies, to bisexual fantasies. The bisexual scene happens to have a double cunnilingus performed by two men on a woman, which this reviewer is confident he has never seen before in adult film and must be seen. This scene alone is worth the price of admission.

This isn't to dismiss from the other sex scenes. The cuckold scene where a woman fantasies about being used by strangers while her husband watches is another stand out in The Fantasy Project. All of the sex scenes in the movie are exceptional and make up for the disappointment in the lack of Kate's story.

All considered, The Fantasy Project is well-worth watching for the sex scene scenarios that are presented to the viewer. Ms. Naughty has made some genuinely erotic sex scenes that don't ever disappoint the viewer.

The Fantasy Project was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The Fantasy Project is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There are a hiss and hum present during the movie; however, the dialog is clear and easy to understand at all times.

Bright Desire didn't include any extras for their streaming-only edition of The Fantasy Project.

The Fantasy Project is a fun film from writer and director, Ms. Naughty. The movie has its flaws; however, none of the flaws reduce the enjoyment the movie has to offer. The plot ultimately falls short, but the sex scenes are excellent and genuinely display a vast range of interests. The Fantasy Project is well worth watching just for the sex scenes alone. Bright Desire has done an excellent job with their streaming-only edition of The Fantasy Project on PinkLabel.TV with great picture and good sound quality.
