The Little Details

Running Time: 88 min. (The cover states a running time of “120 min”. Although this is true for the entire DVD, when a cover lists a running time people take that to be the running time of the movie and not the movie plus extras just like when they order a 12 ounce steak they expect the steak to weigh 12 ounces instead of the steak, potato, and whatever other useless stuff is put on your plate. I'm deducting a half point from the overall score because of this.)

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is very nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen, and looks very nice. It plays with the lighting and a bit of tinting to give the movie a slightly artistic look at times, and also nicely mixes in black and white footage for the setups. The camera work is smooth, but there are a few areas which looked like they might have been slowed down slightly.

Music: The music is very nicely done. It's well balanced with the other audio and varies in style from scene to scene. There's some very nice care put into the music, and it helps out the entire movie.

Menus: The main menu works together a few stills of the girls and a little generic animation for an okay first impression. The chapter menu shows a bit of care and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in it.

The Feature

Exxxtra Credit breaks free of the typical Penthouse Forum mode of having letters read by a hot chick to instead build the movie around interviews. Here each scene is a story told by a college student as part of an interview they agreed to in order to get a little extra credit.

Scene 1 – Eva Angelina and Voodoo

Voodoo talks about how he was hanging out in a bar in Tijuana when a pimp came up and offered him Eva, who didn't speak a word of English. Scene 3 – Jayden Simone and Alan Stafford

Exxxtra Credit is a very nice little fuck flick. I really like how it plays with the Penthouse Forum format by having the scenes start out as interviews for a college study rather than having somebody reading stories that were sent in, and having the interviews done in black and white with a videocamera monitor look adds a nice artistic touch to the presentation. The scenes are nicely consistent throughout the movie with only Jayden's falling short of the average mark, and there's a nice mix to the action with a little anal and interracial mixed in. I'm a little disappointed that there wasn't a threesome or a lesbian scene with the bisexual question being raised for all of the girls and with all of them saying that they're bisexual, but as it is the movie stays very couples friendly which isn't a bad thing either. Exxxtra Credit uses a little style to set itself apart from the typical porno, and ends up being a nicely hot piece of porn.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about five minutes with roughly five seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a bonus scene with and accompanying photo gallery, and internet information.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty minutes. After a few shots around the production Jamie poses for a few stills. Jayden also poses for a few stills before chatting about being from Ohio (with a nice introduction by Guy Capo talking about how one can never find girls like her in Ohio when you're there) and sex before they shoot her scene. Madison is next, who poses for her stills before talking about being around the industry as a bondage model for several years and often wearing panties but rarely wearing a bra before shooting her scene. If you want something a little on the lighter side, this one should be well worth the money. The scenes are nicely consistent with the exception of Jayden's, and have a nice style as well as plenty of chemistry. The technical aspects are nicely done and there's also some nice care put into the extras to help out the overall package. This is a very nice DVD that's worth checking out.

Note to Penthouse: Listing a running time that's for the entire DVD instead of the movie itself only brings it down my misrepresenting what you're giving people. With the effort you're putting into your DVDs all this is going to do is make people not trust what you list on your covers.
