Initial Expectations: Christoph has been one of the best gonzo directors out there lately. I can’t help but go into every one of his movies with sky high expectations!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual, the technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few very minor background noises in the opening scene and the early dialogue in the final scene is hard to make out. The video is also very well done. It’s very well lit and has just a hint of grain. There’s a little minor camera motion, but it doesn’t interfere with the movie much because most of it has a personal and hand-held feel. As usual with Christoph’s recent movies, this is a very nice looking and sounding gonzo movie.

Music: None

Menus: Not surprisingly, Evil Angel has put some nice effort into their menus. The main menu nicely blends the movie with a little animation while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the names of the ladies in each scene.

The Feature

With his Hardball series, Christoph Clark focuses on intense anal sex. Every scene starts off with a bit of tease and anal play and moves on to hot sex. There’s always personality and always a good balance of camera angles as Christoph moves around to capture as much of the action as possible.

Scene 1 - Pamela, Christoph Clark, Jean Yves LeCastel, Roly Reeves, and Robert Rosenberg

Now if only Devil’s Film would just throw Ian a little support so he could shoot some more scenes for Christoph rather than letting him rot in a Panamanian jail on a bullshit charge while shooting a movie for him, as appears to be currently happening. Scene 3 - Trinity, Franco Roccaforte, and Jean Yves LeCastel

Scene 4 - Lucy Love, Jean Yves LeCastel, and Nick Lang

This is a fantastic scene, and I’m not sure whether I like it or Trinity’s scene best in the movie. Once again, I love the tease, and Lucy looks so amazingly hot in the beginning that I’m glad I had any blood left above my shoulders after the first thirty seconds of the scene. She takes on the guys with ease after a fantastic bit of teasing and foreplay, and makes the anal look easy and natural. Part of me was a little disappointed that Lucy didn’t take a double penetration from the guys, but at the same time she did so well with the anal that it still came out a smoking hot scene. This is a fantastic scene, and I hope to see a lot more of Lucy Love because of it!

Not surprisingly, Christoph Clark has put out another winner with Hardball 25. There’s only four scenes here, but they’re all very well drawn out and have some great teases. The last two scenes are easily my favorite, with Trinity’s scene having an amazing feel and Lucy Love looking like one of the most beautiful creatures to grace God’s green Earth ever. The two of them easily make Hardball 25 worth picking up, with Pamela and Lucy Anne seeming like grand icing on a delicious cake. The closest thing I can have to a complaint with the movie is some of Christoph’s style, and I know that this is a personal thing where I disagree with a lot of others out there. Christoph does a great job focusing in on the girls in almost every scene, and gets so close that there were a lot of times when I wasn’t even sure who was fucking the lucky lady in the scene. Like I said, I know that there are a lot of people out there who don’t want to see anything below the nutsack or above the belly button on the guys, but I get a better fell for the chemistry in the scenes if I can get a glimpse (as opposed to a fully focused shot) of the guy’s face. The beautiful thing about that complaint is that it was my biggest problem with the entire movie. For me it held Hardball 25 back slightly, but it’s not enough that it should hold anybody back at all who’s the least bit interested in it or intense anal sex with plenty of gaping.

The Extra Stuff

To start with, the movie has been recut as a longer director’s cut with roughly an extra half hour of footage. As usual, a biography is included for Christoph as well as a cast listing by scene. Filmographies are included for Lucy Love and Trinity. There’s also a photo gallery including nearly forty great looking snapshots. Finally, there’s weblinks, cumshot recaps, and extra footage.

The extra footage lasts about two minutes. You get a little extra from each of the scenes, ranging from about ten seconds to about forty five. There’s a bit of humor here, and as usual Christoph comes off as a personable guy who wants to have a friendly set. My only complaint here is that it didn’t last much longer.

Currently, most of Evil Angel’s DVDs can be found online for between about $18 and $30, with a few stores offering them in the $20 range. As usual, Christoph has put out a DVD well worth the money. The sex is hot, with two hot scenes and two smokin’ hot scenes. The technical aspects are nicely done, and the extras show some nice care (including a longer cut of the movie). This is a great DVD.

Note to Christoph Clark / Evil Angel: Instead of just drooling more here, I’ll just start begging for more of Lucy Love in your future releases!
